Have spent just over a week at Castle Comfort Lodge and diving with Dive Dominica. Flew into Melville Hall airport and it is quite a drive across the island to the capital of Roseau. The Lodge is about a 5 minute drive out of town and we arrived at a about 5.30pm to a friendly welcome and we were immediately... more

Dominica is probably the most beautiful and friendliest place I've ever been. Castle Comfort Dive Lodge was no exception. This is a beautiful 15 room lodge right on the water. Upon arrival Omar checked us in and we had our welcome rum punch at the bar, while our bags were taken to our room. Melinda took us on a tour... more

We'd agree with the other reviews that it's an ideal dive lodge, simple but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and cocktails were great and very good value for the Caribbean. Also it was never any trouble for us to dine by the sea, even though the staff thought it too cold and damp! Whilst the... more

We went for the diving, but we got so much more! We paid for the diving and excursions as part of our package. This was absolutely the best way to experience Dominica. Our dive staff were friendly and very professional. They made sure all our dives were extraordinary, and when we asked, they took us to the spots we requested.... more

Dominica has great dive sites and Dive Dominica is first class operation. There were 6 to 8 divers per trip supported by one or two divemasters plus a boat captain. The staff were both friendly and helpful. They load and unload the gear and helped remind me the set up. The rides to the dive sites about 15 minutes each... more

My husband and I stayed at the Castle Comfort Scuba Lodge for 6 nights between Christmas and New Years. The people are extremely friendly especially the owners. The food at the hotel is pretty good and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. The bar is cute but the prices a little high compared to the town... more

Be sure and check into this carefully before you stay here. I cannot believe the ratings that we have seen since our miserable trip there. One of the worse properties I have ever stayed in anywhere. Go elsewhere or beware. more

The diving in Dominica is really great and the dive operation is very very good - experienced dive masters, good equipment and large, new boats. On land, however, I was disappointed. The food is very overpriced - for about $15 you get a dry hamburger on two pieces of bread - no discount since they ran out of buns. Dinners... more

I was pleasantly surprised to find such pristine diving on this small tropical island. Is is obviously a well-kept secret as the coral is beautiful and unspoiled. I saw only a few sharks and stingrays, but lots of eels and porcupine puffers, several turtles and seahorses, and lots of neat, small critters. The orange and purple colors on the reefs... more

Castle Comfort is a wonderful SCUBA diving destination that has the added attraction of having access to a beautiful tropical island with lots of hiking and sightseeing available. The hotel is small (14 rooms) with a restaurant that features balcony, indoor, or waterfront dining depending on the weather. We were on a package that included breakfast with several choices: banana... more
