I tried to pay for my nights in advance and several times different members of the staff told me just pay tomorrow or when I check out in the end, despite that I insisted I did not feel comfortable with this as I thought staying without paying might be a problem. Then on the 3rd day the manager burst into... More

Rooms are similar to private rooms in a youth hostel - basic with a private bathroom. There was no hot water but the cold comes out lukewarm. Staff don't fawn - we found them genuine and professional which was all we wanted. Most staff speak 2 or 3 languages and will try to help. Free wifi is available in communal... More

This is the first time i feel i have to leave a bad rating of a hotel. I know that the students here are learning, but they are not serviceminded at all! I didnt get the impression that this is what they want to do. Besides the lack of good service, the breakfast was really bad.. And you have to... More

Hotel location great! You can walk anywhere in town. Room was basic, clean but nothing fancy. AC working excellent. Safetybox in the room. Hot water ONLY request, but that was no problem for us. Breakfast was basic, and it included room price. Frendly service. If you take bus from airport, you can walk to hotel in less than 5min, so... More

I was walking in downtown Punda on a Saturday afternoon wondering what I would find good to eat. Then there was the smell of delicious BBQ where I begin to follow the smell and it lead me straight to the Academy Hotel Curacao. This is a training hotel/restaurant with daily specials but the best thing is the Saturday BBQ that... More

If you like mosquitos, rock-hard beds, cold water showers, noisy, cramped rooms with faulty wiring, broken TVs and absence of promised WiFi, then this is the place for you. (Man at the front desk said you could get internet if you had Cat5. Right. That works really well with my Kindle Fire or my smartphone.) Could not dial a local... More

The hotel is well located, very close to the floating bridge, restaurants and bars, the markets and the Punda bus stop. The staff was friendly and (most of the times) willing to help. The room was small, very clean, well decorated and quite, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served in the patio, very basic but enough to get you... More

when i read some of the former remarks i am not quiet sure what people do expect... AHC is rated a 3* accomodation and here are young professionals in training. And the hotel is 3* definitely - everything you need is there, the rooms are clean, they serve continental breakfast - extras can be ordered. The students try their best... More

The Academy Hotel is one of the few hotels in Punda, which is why we opted to stay here instead of a beach resort. The Good: Location, location, location. We could walk to everything in Willemstad, not their fault, but Willemstad is a bit smaller and less lively than expected. Compared to other hotels on the island it was reasonably... More
