We had an excellent stay last week in Avila Hotel. The atmosphere there is very relaxed and the setting is just beautiful. What I really like about Avila is that it feels like a small and personal hotel. Even though it isn't that small at all. You can see and feel that everywhere. The hotel is a combination of more... The Avila Hotel has variety of buildings in its quite small guarded area. Rooms and their quality vary from building to building. Avila’s beaches (3) are small but nice. The beautiful sea by the hotel is swimmable and easy to go into and to snorkel. There is plenty to see in the sea already by the hotel’s coastline which means... More

The hotel itself was very nice and well kept. The room was modern and comfortable. The snorkelling off the beaches was the best part of the hotel. The beaches were clean and the sealife fantastic. The food in the restaurants was nice, not amazing but nice! I had a massage in the spa which was wonderful. The hotel is about... More

The Avila is a beautiful, sprawling hotel alongside the ocean, with some small beaches cleared for hotel guests (the seashore from the Avila all the way into town is otherwise rocky, as is most of the island's coast). It has several restaurants and bars, and offers a shuttle service to town. We enjoyed our stay. Some comments to help future... More

We stayed at the Avila hotel 6 nights during our honeymoon in August 2014. The property were nice and staff were great, especially receptionist! The beach weren't that big but just fine for us. There were enough sun chairs for everyone but still some of the quest reserved the "best" chairs from early morning to late evening which was quite... More

My favorite place! Have been at Avila three times. Just love it. Stay at the rooms in the Blues Wing. Super view. Great Beach. Great snorkling. Super nice staff. Go go go! Curacao is a great island. Beautiful, colorful, freindly, nice shopping and everything has been so nicely restored. Do go!

it is a really nice hotel, however not worthy of 5 stars.. at least in my book The service is generally extremely fast and pleasant but with a few noticeable exceptions from the rule The room was clean and modern, large enough but it was lacking a hair dryer.. And it had only a bathing gown for 2 people. the... More

Avila is a good hotel with a gorgeous view from most of the common areas. Try lunch at the pool bar... Their tortillas and tuna salad are amazing. Geared I believe towards mainly European tourist seeing that in the room there were only 220volt power outlets. They do provide adapters at the reception though. My room was spacious with again... Quiet hotel, with not much ruckus from younger "party" type travelers. Rooms were very well kept (they seemed to clean the room twice a day! Furnishings were simple yet modern. We stayed in a room that overlooked the Carribean Sea... Highly recommended! The snorkeling at the beach connected to the hotel was amazing! Lots of coral and colorful fish. Spa... More

What a gem! Right off the street and obscure, so many surprises await you inside! Sitting on 2 lagoons perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Unbelievable bars & restaurants. Poolside option as well. We arranged for a very special dinner on the beach one night. A must do!
