My favorite place! Have been at Avila three times. Just love it. Stay at the rooms in the Blues Wing. Super view. Great Beach. Great snorkling. Super nice staff. Go go go! Curacao is a great island. Beautiful, colorful, freindly, nice shopping and everything has been so nicely restored. Do go!

it is a really nice hotel, however not worthy of 5 stars.. at least in my book The service is generally extremely fast and pleasant but with a few noticeable exceptions from the rule The room was clean and modern, large enough but it was lacking a hair dryer.. And it had only a bathing gown for 2 people. the... More

Avila is a good hotel with a gorgeous view from most of the common areas. Try lunch at the pool bar... Their tortillas and tuna salad are amazing. Geared I believe towards mainly European tourist seeing that in the room there were only 220volt power outlets. They do provide adapters at the reception though. My room was spacious with again... Quiet hotel, with not much ruckus from younger "party" type travelers. Rooms were very well kept (they seemed to clean the room twice a day! Furnishings were simple yet modern. We stayed in a room that overlooked the Carribean Sea... Highly recommended! The snorkeling at the beach connected to the hotel was amazing! Lots of coral and colorful fish. Spa... More

What a gem! Right off the street and obscure, so many surprises await you inside! Sitting on 2 lagoons perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Unbelievable bars & restaurants. Poolside option as well. We arranged for a very special dinner on the beach one night. A must do!

Spent 2 weeks here about 8 yrs ago. All though quite expensive it's one of the best breakfast I've had abroad. The beach is small, but nice. The room was clean and good standard even though they didn't refill the fridge daily. A nice romantic hotel with a good location

We stayed here for 6 nights. First we got an outdated dirty 1 bed room. But after asking we got a new room in the update wing. Room on the corner with view on pool and the beach. We loved it. Breakfast was so so for much money. Better go to Albert Heijn and buy your breakfast there (muesli kwark,... More

My last visit to the Avila was in 2003. It was already a very good hotel. What a nice surprise to return now and see that it is even better. New rooms, better service, friendly staff and great food during dinner at the Belle Terrace restaurant. The live jazz on Thursdays at the Blues Bar was a must. Will certainly... More

I just returned from a three day stay at this hotel, and just like last time i was struck by the poor service and particularly the staff’s total lack of interest; there was a technical problem in my room and it was never solved, despite several requests; generally the staff has no real interest in making you feel welcome; I... This a beautiful and very serene hotel. The views are spectacular and the beach is clean with sufficient chairs and umbrellas to accommodate the guests. The staff is professional and friendly. The rooms are spacious and generally clean. We checked in late and had an issue with some stains on the linen and mold on the curtains, but the issues... More
