Breakfast was delicious and the service for dinner was fast. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy. The toilet was clean and also spacious. The hotel is close to the capital. It is walking distance. I do not recommend tourists to walk around there at night time the area can be a bit dark and dangerous. The hotel has a lovely... More

We had a very nice stay at Avila. The service was very good. My kids enjoyed the pool, but it was very hard to get a lounger to sit on as they filled up very quickly. They need more seating around the pool I wouldn't recommend a milk based coffee from the bar, I watched as they the same pitcher... More

My wife and I stayed for 10 days at the Avila Resort, celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and we arrived with another couple – close friends – who were celebrating their 15th. We all had a fantastic stay at the Avila and have very high recommendations overall. Some details to consider: 1. the Avila is medium-sized, which for us was... More

The Avila Hotel combines history (the Octagon, where Simon Bolivar lived for 2 years, and the old hotel) with a new, modern wing and modern facilities. Rooms are good, not very spacious but comfortable, breakfast is ok, nothing special, restaurant however is superb. The Blues bar is a nice addition, good live music on Thursdays. Beach is small, water wonderful,... More

Our goal on this trip to the Avila Hotel was just to rest, read, tan, swim, run, and relax. We knew we wouldn't be into exploring too much or adventure seeking or eating out at every restaurant in the area. The Avila Hotel is a great place for such a peaceful break. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The... More

Great place to enjoy Curacao hospitality. We lost our luggage in Amsterdam transfer for one day, but the Hotel was kind enough to open the shop just for us on Saturday evening to buy some beachwear. Excellent AC in the room, lot of space in the beach, highly recommended.

The Avila Hotel was a pleasant, comfortable place to stay. They surprisingly upgraded me from a regular room to a 3 bedroom suite, which made the stay even better. The grounds are beautiful and kept up, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant was good and the employees were helpful. It had security throughout the night, so we felt... More

We went here for our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED it! They knew it was our honeymoon and had flowers a towel animal and champagne for us when we got there! The room was clean and well kept, but nothing over the top. We had our own balcony and love to go out on it and read and just relax. The... More

we had a great room overlooking the water with a balcony. It was very quiet in our area. The resort has several restaurants which were all very good. The resort is well maintained but the location is in the historic district and is undergoing a revival. There are many abandoned houses in the area among newly restored buildings. It is... More

My husband and I chose this hotel mainly because of the positive reviews, the beach and its proximity to the town center (about a 15-20 min walk). The beach was great - lots of space, enough chairs, nice beach bar/restaurant right on the beach. The hotel was also on the quieter side; not a lot of children running around. It's... More
