Reconverted slave (servant) quarters, (row) houses for 50 bucks ! We thought we could save a lot of money. We checked beforehand the adjoining Daniel Huis restaurant which gets good reviews--fairly plush. So we hoped accommodations would be OK in line with restaurant. But the accommodations in the nearby row houses on the property are dirty and unlivable...Ants all over... more

A very hold fashioned Dutch style house; the stairs are steep and the shower rooms simple. We took room 9 in the plantation house but had some problems and moved to room 7 which was much nicer. Towels were changed daily except for Monday and sheets were changed once during the week. You can get towels for the pool or... more

My husband and I were in Curacao for a business meeting at the Marriott, but we wanted to spend a few extra days there as well - the cost of the Marriott on our personal budget being too much, I was delighted when Landhuis Daniel could accomodate us. For the price, you really can't beat it. The other reviews confirm... more

I was able to get a reservation here close to my vacation time.I reserved by email/website. I stayed up to Christmas- flew home Christmas day. There are several types of room choices, but I took a small room (one of those left) in the former 'slave quarters'. This room had A/C, turn off or on and it worked fine. The... more

This was our second visit to Curaco. Last time we split our stay between the Marriott and Hotel Kura Hulanda. This time we stayed at Daniel, and rented a car to explore the island. We too were surprised at how small our bill was. we ran a tab for a handful of meals, which were very nice. I would recommend... more

We went to Curacao for a long weekend, and had a little bit of trouble to find the right Hotel for us, which was in an average price range. Mostly we got the answers, that we couldn't stay at certain hotels, since we were not staying more than 4 nights. So we found the Landhuis Daniel, and were a bit... more

After staying for 6 nights at the Kura Hulanda Hotels me and my wife needed to save some money. As well, we were dying to see what all the fuss was over the Landuis's. These historic places are all over Curacao and to my knowledge Daniel is one of the only registered Lanhuis's where guests can stay. --- Daniel is... more

This Landhuis is definitely a restaurant with rooms, rather than a hotel. As others have said, the food is fantastic although we dod have a problem on a couple of nights getting service in the restaurant as it can become very busy. The accommodation is basic. Yes there is aircon in some rooms (you have to specify if you want... more

We had a great stay at the Landhuis Daniel. The dinners were absolutely amazing, some of the best food we've ever had, and were a good value. They even had a couple of really good vegetarian options. Definitely keep in mind that this inn is out in the country, away from Willemstad, and is somewhat rustic. Some rooms have A/C.... more

When I planned the trip to Curaçao with my girlfriend, I read on Frommer's website about this place being "the best cost/value hotel in Curaçao". Since we were in a budget, I decided to contact Jan (owner/chef) and made a reservation. What a good decision. Room was small but with AC and comfy enough to sleep and having a shower.... more
