We LOVED Sunset Waters. It really grew on me. First of all, it's outside of Williamsted, and therefore there is no chaos or street horns or crazy noise. It's a bit remote, and that keeps weirdos and people selling things away. All the drinks and food and rentals are included - the food is local fare, not "haute cuisine" but... more

We had an absolute blast at Sunset Waters. The hotel staff for the most part was very eager to please. Leonard (the manager) checked in constantly to make sure everything was OK. Any problems (which were few) were dealt with immediately. The food was very good..service was a little slow at times. The bar staff was awesome and did their... more

We've been to Sunset Waters four times and still love it there! It's a world away from our normal busy lives, with a wonderful staff that makes you instantly feel at home. Arriving from NY, you get to the hotel later in the evening...quite likely the chef will have dinner waiting for you after you've checked in. A Diver's paradise,... more

The Staff in the restaraunt, Front Desk and bar staff was excellent, the food was good and bad, not always consistent, Sometimes very overcooked. The Dive shop staff were great! We had a lot of fun with everyone, thanks for everything! The rooms could use a facelift. To say the least............ a major cleaning would be smart..............Super 8 Type rooms... more

With a group of 100 people we had a great week at The Sunset Waters Resort. We were there for a seminar of the well known (at least in The Netherlands and W-Europe) Drs Roy Martina. A seminar for health on body, mind and emotional level. The weather was terrible, it didnt just rain, it just poured and even the... more

The brochures and website are a bit misleading in their description of this resort. Built for the Dutch market -- travelers who want to leave cold and snowy Netherlands to relax in the sun -- Sunset Waters is not like resorts such as Sandals. Just like accommodations in Europe, it is basic and clean. Our room had two beds, a... more

This is actually kind of a charming resort. Just before we left, I read some of the negative reviews below and had regretted scheduling this vacation. We were quite pleasantly surprised and relieved. The rooms are clean and basic...nothing fancy, but everything you need. Hot water, good AC, hair dryer, room cleaned daily, etc. Get an ocean front room with... more

I am writing this in transit after leaving Curacao. This resort is a real mixed bag. First, the dive shop was very good, with excellent support for our family. Dave and Lynn and the rest of the dive crew went out of their way to be helpful. We have traveled a lot around the world for diving, and they were... more

Nice average property but far away from town. It is a 50.00 taxi ride each way to get to restaurants or shopping, casinos, etc. Our rooms were clean, ceiling fan and well functioning AC. Beds were hard. Our room overlooked the nude beach, glad we were all adults! Food was buffet for every meal (all inclusive), though the brochure said... more

Overall: Don’t even think about booking a trip at this resort which offers terrible food, shoddy accommodations, mediocre service and only average diving. Absolutely the most disappointing vacation we have ever taken! Rooms & Facilities Best description for this place is ‘deferred maintenance’ everywhere. The ceiling tiles in our bathroom were stained and rusty, only 2 of 5 light bulbs... more
