Having seen the mixed reviews on this site, we went to the Habitat with some degree of trepidation; this seems to have been not unfounded. While the Dutch management of the hotel seems to be genuinely interested in creating a good experience, generally less than competent local staff - especially in key areas such as check in, car rental, and... more

Our dive shop/club booked a week long vacation at Habitat Curacao. I was a bit concerned at some of the reviews on Trip Advisor but I will say that we were pleasantly surprised. My wife and I stayed in a garden view apartment. They are, IMHO, the pick of the litter. The rooms are much larger than the 2 rooms... more

So I went here for 11 days and 10 nights in may/june 2009 to get my PADI open water certification. I did about 20 dives in total, and it was an incredible experience. That being said, I did have a few problems with the hotel itself. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly, as were the people who... more

I stayed at Habitat Curacao with a group of 8 divers in March of 2009. I cannot say anything positive about this "resort". The "Villas" are nothing more than 2 very small hotel rooms with a sorry excuse of a kitchen (which is outside among the swarms of mosquitoes )in between the two rooms. The common area outside the rooms... more

I went to this dive resort with my husband and 5 other friends for a week. We have stayed at "dive resorts" all over the Caribbean. Anyone who has been to "dive resorts" knows that these are never traditional 5-star properties. I think that some of the negative reviews on this site might be comparing this property to a traditional... more

We stayed a few days at Habitat during Belgian Easter Holiday. I read some negative reviews before we got there, and I must say that we didn't experience any of them while staying there. We heard that the new management worked very hard to improve the quality of the rooms. They removed all the old beds , and the apartments... more

Hotel satisfies absolutely at all requirements of each and anyone. The rooms were simple, nicely but very clean the beds are brandnew. The personnel were calm and kindly and always ready to advise us about the tourist sights or other things we wanted them to ask. The location and surrounding is fairy-like you have a beautiful view at the sea... more

- Simple but clean rooms - Delicious food - Incredible surroundings - Wonderful infinity pool - Friendly staff - Great price/quality - Beautiful rif at very close distance (the restaurant itself is literally situated above the rocks!) I snorkeled around Habitat and saw the most amazing fishes only 1 meter off shore. You won't see them at the (touristic) eastside... more

We are frequent diving travelers to the Caribbean, however first time on Curacao and very positively surprised. The island was green and lush and makes a very friendly impression. The Habitat Hotel is butifully situated on a resort, with milion dollar houses! The resort itself is spread out along the shore line and is very spaciously set up. In between... more

My wife and I own a Dive shop and took a group to this resort. We have been conducting three group trips per year for 15 years and this is the worst resort as far as accomodations and management service we have come across. We booked the two bedroom villas that are basically two small bedrooms with an outside common... more
