I travelled to Curacao with 2 other adults and 1 child this year. We stayed at Villa Tropical for 2 weeks which we booked through the villas website. The villa itself is beautiful and set up well for those with children. The owner stopped by to see how we were making out at the house and the people responsible for the house were very helpful. There were unfortunately plenty of cons. When we arrived we were told if we used excessive electricity we would be charged. We were mindful of that and did not run the AC all the time and ensured things were turned off when we left the villa. Still, they kept a majority of our deposit because we supposedly used a lot of electricity. Keep in mind this is a 5 bedroom house that claims 10 adults plus children can stay there.There were entire days we weren't even at the villa so we used that much electricity is beyond me. Also, when we arrived there was no toilet paper, hand soap or dish detergent. Had to buy all of that. They also charged... more
