Very good hotel. Great food in all restaurants. The pool is small. All workers are very helpful and pleasant. Even people from the travel agency there (Travelplan or Soltour) was there every time. Many activities... The night sows were fantastic. more

This place is a total low class dump and I am amazed at the previous positive reviews. First of all the food is terrible. Vegetables are frozen, meat is tough and overcooked, and everything is just unpleasant tasting. This being an " all inclusive" experience, you can eat all you want, but we just lost our appetites it tasted so... more

Cuba was a life changing experience!! My trip had a rocky start as I got a bug minutes before catching my flight to Cuba. However, the second we landed in Cuba and I caught a glimpse of the sun and the palm trees I felt so much better!! My Mom, Dad, Sister (21) and I (19) travelled to Cuba for... more

Our stay at the Melia this year was our third and occured in early March 2008. Prior to our first visit, and both before and after each of our subsequent visits, I have paid a visit to TripAdvisor to see what others thought of the Melia Varadero. I become more and more convinced that I am visiting a different hotel... more

Do not stay at melia! This was my second trip to Cuba and after my stay at Melia, I don’t think I’ll be risking another trip to Cuba. If you’re looking for a nice vacation where you can speak English, eat good food, drink quality drinks and get the service you paid for, go to Mexico or the Dominican. Complaints... more

Well, we were bumped from Breezes Varadero to Melia, and I must say I was very pleased. I was nervous at first, not knowing what to expect. Resort: Hotel style...grounds well kept...everything within short walking distance...lots of elevators and stairs. There is 1 buffet restaurant...not very busy. There is a cafeteria that is open 24 hrs with hot dogs(yummy), sandwiches,... more

We just got back from our second trip to Cuba and 1st time staying at Melia Varadero. Being rather discerning, we spent some time on Trip Advisor reading reviews on where to stay. On our last trip we had visited the Melia just to look around and the reviews for the most part seemed to back up our first impressions... more

Well, what one say about the resort. It was excellent, each morning we were greated with hugs and a table ready for us, the activity staff kept uor 10 year old busy. They treated him and looked after him as though he was their brother. The bar at the pool was excellent, it is amazing how far manners will take... more

We stayed at this hotel for Spring break, March 24th -31st. We arrived at the the hotel and were given our room, we were charged for three full fares (myself, wife and our 15 year old son) the room consisted of two 3/4 beds and a roll away cot, leaving little if any space in the room to move. I... more
