I went with my husband and we found this to be an excellent Resort. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and the food was very good. The beach and pools were amazing. We met another 2 couples there and none of us got sick. We all had a great time. The weather was great. I would just suggest... more

We travelled to the Melia Las Antillas in late June for one week. When arriving we were the only people being dropped off so there were no lineups to contend with. There was only one person working the desk and he was fairly busy. My husband asked for an upgrade to an ocean view room if possible. Apparently it could... more

We spent a great holidays in the hotel! The check-in was very fast which was great after such a long trip (10 hours flight from Frankfurt). We asked for change of the room which was also no problem. The garden and the pool are beautiful. The jacuzzi near the pool is very relaxing. There is one more but during our... more

First timers in Varadero Cuba and this resort. We all had a wonderful time in Cuba....4 girls, 2 rooms...What a beautiful resort! We are taking pictures all the time. A lot of walking and a lot of things to do! There was a lagoon/ water feature that smells like a sewer on the right side but on the left hand... more

Hello to all: I must say I have been to Varadero, Cuba before, but never did I expect such lack in a 4 1/2* hotel. Here's where it begins. Upon arrival at the hotel we were assigned room 3141. This room was located beside the irregation system where the toilets are cleaned daily. You can imagine the smell when we... more

For our first trip down south, we stayed at the Melias Las Antillas. We had an amazing vacation! The rooms were clean, the staff was VERY friendly, the food was excellent (and i'm very picky about what i eat), the only thing this hotel lacks, is night life. Although we didn't get to bed one night before midnight, it seem... more

We went to Melia las Antillas May 29-June 5th for our 10 year anniversary. We booked with Nolitours and flew with Air Transat out of Toronto. The flight was fine, it was a large plane with 2 or 3 seats on the outside and 3 seats in the middle and it was full. Just a warning about your luggage, we... more

Although this is my 1st review, I have stayed at numerous resorts in Mexico, Antigua, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and Brazil. We were at Melia las Antillas from June 6-14 and I will breakdown our perceptions of the resort and Cuba in general: Airport- Upon arrival we were greeted by dozen's of airport employees wearing white masks and white gloves... more

This was my 3rd visit to Cuba but first to Varadero. My overall impression of the hotel is it should be a 31/2 star not 4. I started to get stomach cramps on the 2nd day there and had montezumas revenge the rest of the week. Don't know what caused it but ruined my holiday. Cannot believe some of the... more

We booked through Air Canada Vacations. No problems with flights, baggage, customs, or bus to the hotel. Check-in was not very busy when we arrived in early afternoon, so it didn't take long. Staff at the front desk was always willing to change bills for 1CUC coins. Rooms: There were 8 of us traveling together, so we got 4 rooms.... more
