First off to say that we have travelled to Riu hotels the last number of years (which we loved) and we wanted something different this year... and our stay was comparable and even better in some sense than the Riu hotels. A very clean and inviting hotel, fantastic variety of food and drink, very clean, the friendlest staff that I have ever met , nothing is too much trouble for them. Just got back from the Tainos. The room (bungalow) was very nice. The food at the buffet was good with a nice variety. The Japanese restaurant was fantastic. The Cuban was not nice at all.
