I was expecting good things from Casa Papo from the reviews and photos I had seen, however the Casa turned out to be even better than I was expecting. Incredibly friendly owners who even helped us out with the odd free taxi ride in the heat of the day with our heavy suitcases! Excellent food provided at breakfast for only... More

Papo’s house has a superb location only minutes away from the beach and a couple of nice restaurants. Our family stayed in two different rooms where the one on the top floor was nice, whereas the other was smaller and a bit dark. However, Varadero is not be measured the same way as the rest of Cuba – there are... More

Had another lovely stay at Papo's house. Stayed at the room next to the rooftop eating area. This room is much quieter than the two on the other side vis a vis roosters and dogs etc. sometimes you hear people talking in the restaurant but all in all slept like a dead guy til morning Got a few good runs... I could go on and on about our wonderful stay!! Yamila and her family and friends were amazing!!! Our kids enjoyed themselves so much. We felt like family and met great friends!! We had the 2 bedroom suite which was really our own house with in the house. No stove or oven but Yamila lets you use the one upstairs.... More

I was disappointed by the service. Most Cuban hosts in Casas particulares are very friendly. I didn´t feel any kindness or warmness there and it was confirmed during our stay. they forgot we booked breakfast for example. breakfast was not great and more expensive than at other places. the house is big and has 5 rooms. the room and the... We flew to Varadero Cuba in July and absolutely loved it, the Beach is beautiful. Blue Ocean Water and white Sand :). We arrived at Papo's House very late at night but it wasn't a problem at all to get checked in, Mrs. Yamila was very kind at all times. Breakfast was always fresh prepared, with fresh fruit, eggs, toast... More

Our family stayed here for three nights. We are a family of four (two adults and two kids), we stayed in two different rooms, each room fit two people comfortably. The rooms had beautiful old furniture which were restored by the host family. Everyday we walked to the beach from the casa, they say it is a two minute walk,... More

HAd the good fortune of staying 2 nights with our family of 6. Beautiful rooms, a fantastic beach ,not 2 minutes away, and did I mention the food, outstanding. Whoever said food in Cuba is boring have never stayed in a casa. Smoked salmon to start, we totally had a gastronomic delight. Food was so good, we had dinner here... More

We stayed at this casa early May during our trip to Cuba in 2013. They really helped rescue us as we had spent one night in the worst place I've ever had the misfortune to stay (Casa Laritza). We had booked 7 nights in the other Casa through another Casa owner on our behalf. We arrived and found out it... More

Small room with small double bed. Refrigerator, LCD and good air conditioning. Small bathroom with good shower and toilet. There is a large covered terrace, two tables, chairs and a plant. The breakfast is excellent, large portions of fruit, pineapple, papaya, melon, banana and mango. Egg of your choice, toast with ham, tomato, large jug of fresh juice and coffee... More
