I recently came back from a wonderful vacation in Cuba, and the hotel has a lot of pros and cons: Pros: 1) Amazing beach and super clean! The water is blue, white sand, perfect on a hot day! 2) Offers of bus tours and trips to Havana, and you get a lower price if you came with the sunwing airlines... More

My wife and I visited the Cuatro Palmas in November of 2008. We had reservations about going to Varadero, but the price was right, so there we were. Room was average, but we were on the ground floor, and the "balcony" was extremely small, and it was only about six feet away from the busy street that ran in front... More

For the price I paid for this resort I expected it to be on the same level as other resorts for the same cost nearby (Arenas Blanca/Bellvue Palma Real) but it wasn't. I went to these resorts because Palmas didn't have foreign exchange counter, what an inconvenience. Other cons: - no pool bar - only one bar is open at... More

Average hotel standard of the building. Poor service with a couple of exceptions. The Cuban attitude makes you not want to come back. They always make you feel like that you have to tip them to get any kind of service or a smile. The restaurant's food was substandard.

This is the third time that I will be in Cuba - and the third time that I will be staying here - with my family - we went in July the last two years. The location is perfect! Beautiful beach, cleaned early every morning. Great swimming. Lunch at the beach restaurant is excellent. Limited choice, but all excellent -... More

May 19-26/14. Sometimes you really do need to step back after your vacation and realize how fortunate we are to be able to go and enjoy time with one another. Our last visit was in May/12 and my review of this property was harsh and I had vowed never again, well I am eating my words as we did return... More

We had another wonderful stay at this wonderful little gem. We stayed across the street in the las palmas section, room 3107. It was basic, but clean, private, secure and all we required. The food was again nothing fancy, but there was always something we liked and we never went hungry. The snack bar was very good as an alternative... More
