This was a lovely casa, with Maria and her staff being always available and helpful. The outside terrace where you had your breakfast was cool and calming..just what you need before embarking on the streets of Santiago. We had a hire car, and we parked outside on the road. Maria organised an overnight "guard" who stayed in the little porch, immediately... More

Maria was absolutely a lovely host and like an aunt to us. Fantastic location only a couple of blocks from the main square, but in a tranquil and authentic street where we were lucky to see 3 spit roasts being cooked on the streets outside homes during New Years Eve. The room was clean and big and laundry was well... More

I was in Santiago de Cuba for two weeks in late January/ early February 2014 and had booked to stay at this casa. In the event my plans changed and I had to leave Santiago early although I did visit the casa a couple of times to check it out and meet Maria. I thought it was just lovely and... More

The hostess, Mary, was gracious and welcoming, making us feel entirely at home. She was completely unfazed by our mangled Spanish and willingly made repeated calls to our next casa, in Trinidad, to confirm our booking until she got through. Casa Jardin has a lush, plant-filled courtyard - the perfect setting for the delicious breakfast of tropical fruit, bread, coffee... More

This casa is in some wonderfully vibrant, but tranquil backstreets near the city centre. Our host and her quorum of friends couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Relaxing on the roof terrace with a cold beer was one of the highlights of my stay in Santiago. Can organise a taxi to pick you up from bus station if that... More

The hostess is welcoming and will help you find your way in Santiago de Cuba. Breakfast is ok for Cuban standards and comes with a small pie every day, tasty! Dinner is good, but be sure to talk to the hostess to determine what you want to eat! The location is good, just a bit off-centre (5 mins walk) but... More

Having stayed here (thanks to the advise of a Cuban friend) was definitely a highlight of our holiday in Cuba. This casa with spacious rooms with air conditioning, beautiful garden to have diners/breakfasts in and nice roof terrace where you can relax with a drink if for sure one where I'd like to come back. Good breakfast, good diner (best... More
