We've just spend two nights at casa Nivia and it was everything really very good. We had room at first floor with a nice balcony, strongly suggested if you're three people. The land lady was always very nice. Don't miss the tropical breakfast ! Very near from downtown, location is very calm.

Casa Nivia is an old house with lots of character and charm. The family is very warm and welcoming and they made sure our stay was excellent in every way possible. The spacious bedroom upstairs with a view to the leafy, quiet inner patio was the perfect spot to stay in the middle of vibrant Santiago. We had delicious food... More

We stayed here for three nights in February this year. It's a lovely casa with very nice and friendly hosts, Beatriz and David. It's a family of three generations, including a parrot and a turtle. We had the upstairs room with a balcony facing the inner courtyard, which was very nice. The food was excellent - both breakfast and dinner... More

Agree with other reviews. Food is excellent, so don't bother to eat anywhere else and Beatriz really takes good care of visitors. Staying here was our best experience in two visits to Cuba and that's really saying something as Cuba tends to deliver experience! I have only been home 2 days and I want to be back there already. We... More

The house has a very nice patio that leaves out all the noise of the busy streets of Santiago. Our host, Beatriz (the daughter of Nivia) has been very warm and her kids have been playing with our daughters a lot. We have got the only room that is on the second level. There are some steep stairs to reach... More

Typical casa blended in with owners quarters. Good location with a short walk to the main downtown square. Beatriz is very accommodating and genuine. We were picked up at the Viazul station by a cab that brought us there in no time. We had our first lunch that day and a late dinner in the evening at the casa in... More

We have stayed here before and the experience never grows old. Every meal is of the highest quality with lots of care taken to cater to each guest's preferences. These people know how to cook fish and lobster to perfection and their vegetarian offerings are mouth-watering. The family is so warm and kind to their visitors that it makes it... More

A very friendly welcome at Casa Nivea. The location is good, about 10 minutes’ walk from the old town, in a quiet area. The house is old but characterful, and so is the guest room. It’s up a steep iron staircase, but you have an en-suite bathroom (towels provided but no soap), and a little balcony with rocking chairs overlooking... More

This family who run this Casa are so very warm and welcoming. The Casa could use some tender loving care but it is huge. We are confident that once some money can be made to invest in their Casa it will be more than special. Beatrice has a nice family unit and it shows. Her son and daughter loved the... More

Stayed 3 nights at this quiet, but nevertheless centrally located casa (5min- walk to Parque Cespedes and Casa de la Trova- don´t miss the concerts there!!!). Big and nicely furnished first floor room with little balcony. Good breakfast. Save car- parking. Great hospitality of Beatriz and her family! Highly recommended!
