I would recommend this casa to anyone looking for central but peaceful location and a really nice hostess,Beatriz who is a very generous and gentle soul and is working incredibly hard to ensure all her guests are well-looked after and fully satisfied.I found meals at Beatriz`s casa of exceptional value for the money we had paid. I could not believe... More

We spend a couple of nights here recently during our trip to Cuba. The owners were very friendly, we had food prepared for us in advance (as Beatriz had contacted us before we arrived to ask us, which was a nice touch). The whole family were very welcoming and friendly. The Casa is well located. We would recommend this Casa.

We stayed here last year and based on that visit, there was no other casa that we considered this year. There is a reason this place stays at number one - it has everything a good B&B should have. The family is utterly charming and genuine, the cooking never fails to be excellent and the rooms are far more spacious,... More

We stayed in Santiago de Cuba for 3 nights in early December and had a great stay with Beatriz and her family. The location is excellent and the whole family were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner offered by the family is also highly recommended! All in all a good choice to stay in a very interesting town

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights staying with Beatriz and her family at the start of August. It is a beautiful casa in a quiet street that is only a 5-10 minute walk to the central square, Heredia Street and the vast majority of the museums and places of interest. The food was superb every night and the breakfast... More

We enjoyed our stay in Casa Nivia very much. Our room was big, had a balcony and 2 beds. It was very clean and comfortable. The food we had was excellent. We had chicken and shrimps...it was delicious. Also the breakfast was nice and included fresh fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, ham and fresh juice. The city Center was really close to... More

This is a casa to remember! Staying with this lovely Cuban family in this colorful colonial house was a great experience. Nivia is a warm and friendly lady and although she and her husband Roberto only speak little English, they really tried to make us feel at home. If your Spanish is as bad as ours, don't worry: their daughter... More

This is a nice and big house located close to the activity center of Santiago. But what makes it excellent is the nice family who lives there and all the warm attention that Betariz did bring to us. Practically, room was big, clean with window, aircond, bathroom w hot water, even some books to read ... Breakfasts and dinner were... More
