My girlfriend and I spent two nights in La Casona. We enjoyed our stay very much. This casa is located within walking distance of most sights in Santiago (Cathedral, Museo, Cuartel Moncada, among others). Asela was a wonderful host and a great way of getting to know more about Cuba and Cubans. We were delighted by the breakfast both mornings... More

My wife and me stayed in this lovely casa from 9-11 march 2014. The owners, Asela and her daugther are very nice and helpful. The room was really big, clean and has everything inside what you need for a very enjoyable stay. The location is great as well. We can very much recommend it and would stay there again any... More

La Casona is a marvellous place on earth! I have been several times in this oasis in Santiago and always been extremely well taken care of by the hostess Asela and her friends. It´s like being at home. The food is excellent and healthy - a lot of vegetables of all kinds and always fresh fruit. I feel so good... More

We have very fond memories of our stay in this casa and of the host Asela. She must be the most zen person living in Cuba, she's discrete, friendly but non overly so, quiet, relaxed, never in a hurry. What better way to start our holiday! We were a party of three and has offered us a perfect room with... More

We stayed in Santiago for one night only. Arriving in town without any casa booked, we were so lucky to find availability in La Casona de SJ. The owner, Asela, is a great host, and such a lovely and delicate person. The room is spacious and very clean, there's even a place that you could use to wash your clothes... More

This is a perfect place to stay in the nicest city of cuba. - centrally located - room big and comfortable - food excellent (also book the dinner!) The best is without any doubt the host Asela! Very friendly, very helpful (also helped us to organize tours)... Would not recommend to book any other place than San Jeronimo at Santiago.... More

The casa is in a great location and the breakfasts were delicious. CUC30 including the room, breakfast and dinner for two is a bargain. We had some scrumptious soups and ate in our own little room off the kitchen overlooking Santiago. While the room was a little sparse, it was amazingly spacious and we had our own private door and... Lovely and very comfortable casa in the centre of 'old' Santiago. There is a very spacious double room with additional single bed and a good bathroom. Asela serves a delicious breakfast on a pleasant terrace with views of hilly Santiago. She is a very gracious host and was very patient with my embarrassingly awful Spanish...

This casa was brilliant. We arrived late, but Asela was there waiting for us with open arms. The room was a great size, with a decent shower and hot water that didn't run out! The bed was comfortable and everything was extremely clean. Asela's breakfast was brilliant and her tips on the local area were spot on, including the local... More

Santiago is quite big but this casa was ideally located in the "old city" of Santiago. Really cosy rooms with a typical Cuban style. Very clean and the host has been extremely helpful and discussable. The breakfast that was offered was also very rich and gave us a lot of energy for our long walks during the day. I have... More
