Santiago is overall rather a poor city. This applies to the general condition but not the attitude of the people. The hotel, apparently originally a private medical clinic is, as to its exterior in "eclectic" style (and in very good condition) while the interior is Moorish, possibly original the building. Between each of the main bedrooms is a beautiful open... More

Adorable "hotel de charme" in exquisite mauresque style, patio covered with azuleijos, filled with tropical plants, located in center of santiago, quiet, clean, perfectly kept, with a staff extremely kind and helpful. Ask them the moon, they will get it for you..... The best place to be in Santiago.

This Hotel was very unique with only eight rooms which have air conditioning , ensuite , safe and very high ceilings. The staff and so friendly and very very helpful as to what is happening in the local area and also how to get there. We found the location to be fanastic as it was just out the door round the corner... The last stop of our drive from Pinar del Rio - the entire length of Cuba! And a lovely place to finish, parked the car outside and only moved it to head for the airport some 3 days later! Just along the street is the Museo de Ron, worth a visit. Our breakfast was ample and there are a host... More

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed over Christmas for 5 days and were very happy with our choice. Thank you for the bubbly, rum and other gifts. Many tripa's have raised concerns about noise but we had no real issues with loud music, one night it could be heard but stopped about 22:30. We had more... More

We just stayed for 2 nights in that small Boutique Hotel. We enjoyed the spatio with plants. Breakfast (ok) took place in a small but cosy living room. The hotel is perfectly situated for city site seeing. The rooms on the other hand are pretty small and dark and above all, we had loud music sound from a detached house... More

This hotel looks to be very nice when viewed from the reception area but, unfortunately, that's as far as we got! Although part of the 'Cubanacan' group, and being advertised as accepting the 'Cubanacan' hotel vouchers, the receptionist refused to accept a voucher, even although there were empty rooms available. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke excellent English, but... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice (first in March 2012 and recently at the end of August 2013). Originally a large colonial home, it was converted into a hotel just a few years ago. It is conveniently located just 2 blocks away from the main square in Santiago de Cuba. The staff are very friendly and trustworthy (e.g. In... More

There are just 8 rooms and it always seemed full, so book in advance? All the staff from the cleaner to reception were all so friendly. They only do breakfast as a meal, and of the 5 places we stayed on our recent visit to Cuba, this was the only place where breakfast was served to you at your table.... More

We stayed 2 nights. Staff were always helpful; yes the neighbouring music was loud at times during the evening but use earplugs or just get so tired with the heat and walking during the day/night that you can sleep through anything! Really conveniently located one block from a lively part of town. The Artex bar that is around the block... More
