Camaguey is third the biggest city in Cuba but there is not a lot of casa particular. That's why I decided to choose hotel. Difference between prices for room in hotel or in casa particular isn't big. Hotel costs something around 30CUC. The standard of room isn't excellent but for me it was enough.

To sum the place up: Dingy, dirty, shabby, noisy and all round down-at-heel. This is not the sort of place you would stay if there was a better alternative. It is built in the 'Russian' style of the 1970s with pokey, dimly lit rooms with poor aircon which is very noisy. Nothing about the place inspires confidence from the too... More

Arrived mid afternoon after a 40mile cycle to be told I had to leave my bike outside with a guard. Nowhere to chain the bike to just to each other (2 of us had bikes).
