Nice hotel with nice and clean rooms. It seems that it has been recently renovated. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly for most of them and the bar serves really nice cocktails. The hotel is situated downtown which is nice ! The only bad thing annoying us was the lack of parking and you had to park on a "not... More

The first impression was really good as we got a welcoming Cuba libre from the staff. There are two nice bars at very reasonable prices for excellent Cuban drinks. However room was much less, only windows gave out to corridor where all guest pass bye Works were ongoing and very noise. Breakfast the first night was below what we usually... More

Probably our least favourite hotel out of an extensive tour of Cuba covering all types of accommodation. Lay out resembled an old prison block - with limited windows too match. Rooms were tiny with little space left after 4 suitcases!

Our group voted this the hotel we would least like to come back to. Our room was so small, you couldn't open the door fully - the bed (or rather, one of the twin beds) got in the way. The bathroom floor was awash before we even turned a tap on. The airconditioning was one of those ancient, in-the-window units... More

On a 2 week tour of Cuba we stayed in 6 hotels from glass fronted tower blocks to inclusive beach resorts. Nowhere did we receive a welcome as warm as at the Hotel Colon. The entrance lobby has charm, the restaurant and inner courtyard are delightful. The staff are keen to please and the drinks are reasonably priced. The one... More

The first room we were given had a mini flood on the floor. The second room had a very old, noisy air conditioning unit. There is barely enough space inside the room for two people to pass each other safely.

By far the worst hotel that we stayed in during our time in Cuba. The only good point is that it is centrally situated, but this means that there is no parking and cases have to be dragged through the streets. The inside of the hotel reminded me of the old TV programme 'Porridge' starring Ronnie Barker as the galleried... More

I was with a group of friends, and some hated it. I loved the old Colonial building, the delightful staff, the garden aria , and the street outside, which has benches for people watching. The rooms are tiny, (because they have had the bathrooms added later), but everything worked, the Air, the TV, hot water. The food was OK and... More

Upon arrival my impression of this hotel was good, but after entering my room (213) it went downhill fast. The so called double bedroom was the smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in.The room just had enough space for two single beds with a gangway in the middle. The room did not have a window, but came with noisy a/c which you could... First of all, we would like to thank you for your comments about the hotel. We are very sorry about the rooms. An older style colonial hotel built around an interior terrace. Sounds idyllic, but the reality is a dirty, badly maintained building where nothing works. I had the misfortune to spend a stifling in tiny cell like room. Neither the air conditioning nor the shower worked, but worst of all my door did not lock.
