Frankly this place is kinda underrated. Other places in Old Havana are similar but get better ratings. Such as Hotel Florida. I've stayed in both & The Palacio is better. Better and larger rooms, a bit more refined & elegant. And location is still amazing.

Excellent location, walking distance to most of the major plazas in Havana Vieja and to the Malecon. Rooms were well appointed, restaurant and bar staff were very warm and friendly, and top-notch music in the bar. Front desk could have been a little more friendly and accommodating, but would recommend nonetheless.

This hotel is in a prime location in Havana Vieja, and is a beautifully restored colonial building with a lovely courtyard inside. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with high ceilings and air conditioning, some are a bit noisy, the water may not always be the exact temperature, the elevators may be slow and other small inconveniences. But this is... More

Lovely hotel situated in a busy area bustling with locals and European tourists. A feast for all of the senses! The architecture is stunning and full of old world charm and character reminding one of Havana's heyday back in the fifties. This hotel is beautiful restored, exceptionally clean and modernized. Service was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious!

This restored colonial residence is very pleasant and the staffis friendly & helpfull. Two types of rooms: old fashioned, marble floor, high ceilings and unreachable windows located on the 2nd floor.(those are the ones you usually get if you book on the internet). The best ones, (modern) on the third floor cost almost double if you reserve them locally. One... More

The room was huge - a bedroom, living room and bathroom with tub - and had beautiful furniture. The first night we had to stay in another hotel though, because of plumbing problems at O'Farrill. Good breakfast and excellent drinks.

we were concerned by the reviews but on arrival pleasantly surprised. admittedly we were in the junior suite as there were no other rooms left when we booked on line in UK but we didn't need the extra space so would have been happy with a standard room. we dont know how similar or different our room was to others... Granted I am biased after I got sick from drinking the juice during breakfast and being out of action for a couple days because of that, but I still wouldn't want to stay here again. The hotel itself is a pretty building with open, airy areas nice looking, and the rooms are decently sized with color (satellite) TV! The AC... More

We had 2 nights at the start of our visit to Cuba and 2 nights at the end. Walking into the hotel the first time showed what a magnificent old building it must have been in its prime. We had a standard room initially - big enough and appeared to have everything needed. But, the toilet wouldn't flush, the smoke... More

On entering the opulent courtyard of the Palacio you're immediately taken back to a time in Havana when luxury may have rivaled the European capitals. Hold tight. The rooms are simple with absolutely no frills (with the exception of a strong AC) and make no hints of a particularly luxurious stay. Coordinating the hot and cold water of the shower... More
