We spent one night a the Palacio O'Farrill having been shipped there from the Hotel Telegrafo (which had no water). Both are 'four star' hotels of the same Cuban hotel group. It was our first night in Havana. The door staff were very welcoming as were many of the other staff. The receptionist on the other hand made it clear... More

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Palacio O'Farrill, the building is beautiful but very tired. Our room was spacious, had a window but overlooking the main street so was VERY noisy. The bathroom was shabby, hot tap on sink didn’t work, toilet seat was disgusting, tiling damaged and bath chipped. All this was tolerable but the staff... More

Ok....I don't know what people want on their vacation in Cuba, but I appreciated the hotel's location (which was great), staff (absolutely wonderful), and charm. This hotel is located in a great location to run on the Malecon or take a walk to Obispo Street. It's safe and it is in the community so you can see how real people... More

The Palacio O'Farrill was probably the worst accomodation we've stayed in in Cuba! The hotel looks great and very well-kept from the outside, quite impressive even! But then we got to our room! No windows! If you pay €115 a night for a hotel room, you can AT LEAST expect a window, not? It gave us a really claustrofobic feeling... More

Cuba caveat: Cuba is a Communist country under embargo from one of its closest neighbours who also happens to be the USA. Therefore, if you demand luxury and efficiency at a low cost it’s simply the wrong holiday for you. The food in the region is not notorious for being pretty horrendous so there’s no point whinging about that either.... More

The building is lovely, well kept and nicely furnished. The room was very spaceous and with a window, although it couldn't boast a great view. + A perfect colonial mansion + Excellent location. + Good cleaning and assistance at the reception. - The batroom presented some problems: WC flush, not quite hot water from tap, ill fixed taps and light... Virgin who we travelled with rate this as one of their top 5 Cuba hotels and so our expectations were high. We spent 2 nights here, the first was in a small room with no window and an air conditioning unit that sounded like some one was digging up a road in the corner of the room and so could... More

Room was very simple but clean and spacy. Beautifull high ceiling. The palacio has a marvellous internal patio were you can enjoy a good breakfast. The rooms are plased on the galleries you see from the patio. Good service and nice restaurant. Good choice in a city were clean rooms, good service and acceptable food are rare More

got to O'Farril sent by Hotel Telgrafo where third floow is completely broken. I am given a room with no windows (there are several) and a very noisy air condition system that could not be turned off. I ask at 2,3 am to be changed to another room (which it happens) but there the temperature is so low i had... More

Honest breakfast, igienic, huuuge double room with extra single bed, balcony on loud street but with lovely neighbours (Maria). They will help you with finding a casa particular nearby. Decent hotel equipped with power generator, so in case of blackout - quite common - just come back home :) More
