I loved the building. This was my first impression. The old style architecture gives a glimpse of one side of the old style Cuba. OK so it is relatively expensive but the experience is worth it. Shortages are evident even here for example some items on the menu for the evening meal may not be available that night but run... More

I have stayed at all the top hotels in Havana in the last year and this is by far the best of the bunch. Admittedly, Cuba needs to allow more foreign hotel chains to really manage their properties and not have a shadow Cuban management, restrictive foreign exchange rules, and limited opportunities to buy needed supplies or fire bad workers...... Excellent hotel in Havana. Though i expected more given its reputation. Lovely room. very nice bathroom! hotel is lovely. pool and bar on the rooftop. but as with any rooftop pool in a city center hotel, was small. excellent views however! It is one of the better hotels in the center of the old city though! Out room opened out... More

This hotel is possibly the top hotel in Havana (though that's not saying all that much). We haven't been to the Parque Central hotel but this is superior to the awful Hotel Nacional. For exploring Havana, it is possibly the best good hotel in terms of position, not far from Havana Vieja, and opposite the Capitolio. The food is good,... More

One of the best Hotels in Cuba and ideally situated to explore Havana! Nice, spaceous and clean room and bath. Great breakfast buffet and a free functional WiFi, which very unfortunately, is rarely available in Cuba

The good points are this is an international standard hotel with a great roof top swimming pool, super views over Old Havana and a good cafe/bar where we had a nice lunch well served. The rooms are adequate, large bed, good rain shower and good air con. The view from the room was over the atrium glass roof so not... More

Overall we had a good stay at this hotel. Not the friendliest staff on Cuba, but they were allways professional and helpful. Location is super, architecture is stunning and the hotell is well maintained. Minor irritations were that the aircondition wasnt functioning (our room was either freezing cold or warm), there were only 5 sunbeads in the very popular pool... More

We chose this hotel to end our stay in Cuba. We booked in for two nights as two adults and our teenage daughter. Overall the hotel is great, the location is good for exploring Old Havana and the Prado area. The decor is as expected, the mezzanine bar is a great place to chill, the cocktails are good. The pianist... More

We had heard great reviews about the Hotel Saratoga but unfortunately our stay there coincided with that of a certain foreign delegation resulting in a not so pleasant experience. The receptionist was unfriendly and curt. There was a tense atmosphere throughout the hotel. The maître d' had attitude when we made our reservation for dinner but when we arrived at... More

Not entirely clear about the safety of Havana, we chose the Hotel Saratoga as our sanctuary. The cost was high, $289 per night, but stepping into this renovated, classic, colonial hotel was like stepping back in time. Beautifully crafted architecture, amazing artwork and that feeling that I was some secret organization's Man in Havana while toking a fat Cohiba made... More
