We were meant to be staying at the Beltran but were told that the rooms had been flooded, so we were sent here. The numerous staff who work in the restaurant downstairs have no interest in the guests staying in the four rooms. On saying that, the rooms were a fair size and comfortable. The cleaning staff were really friendly... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for exactly the same reason - our hotel (Beltran de Santa Cruz) did not accept us. What to say - I was furious first, since 10 days before we had eaten in the restaurant that was part of the same establishment, and did not like it at all. Paella was bad (I... More

Where to start... Avoid all hotels in Cuba! Casa Particulars are better - value for money, cleanliness and service! We booked a hotel before arriving for our first 2 night in Cuba just so we knew where we were going first. Our hotel gave us the usual excuse of electricity problems (means they're overbooked) and sent us to this hotel... More

Our trip to Havana took in a few different Paladors including this one. My fiance had the seafood skewer, and luckily for me I had the drunk lobster (recommended by the friendly waiter). Both dishes were excellent but the lobster had the WOW factor and I can thoroughly recommend. Prices were typical of the area (low!) and the service excellent.... More

Called in for a Havana Special and a Pina Colada. The cocktails were strong and tasted lovely. Service was friendly and with a smile. Live music throughout. Would drink there again - cocktails reasonably priced despite being on the main drag.

We went to this place because it was mentioned in one of the Cuba guides. The staff was very uninterested and the food was nothing special. It was one of the first days that we spent in Cuba and we thought this was what to expected but after the dinners we had later thinking back to this one is was... More

Tapas. After a few days of Cuban food and having been "travel ill"for a few days, the idea of something familiar and different from the now all too familiar rice and beans (Moros y cristianos) was something we welcomed with open arms. Yet herein lay the issue: I have a preconception of what tapas are. Living in London and having... More

There are really good restaurants in Havana. This isn't one, and the muppets from the Lonely Planet guide should hang their heads in shame... But they did say they did only 15 weeks research for an Island the length of Lands End to John O Groats.... This place looks ok from outside, flamenco is the gimmick, along with a nautical... More

We ate here after reading a review in the Lonely Planet guide - we should have read up more about it on here first! They were very keen to get us in but after that the service went downhill despite the high staff to customer ratio! There were a few dishes we fancied that weren't available so we ended up... More

In the restaurant, the really know how to sell the recommended dinner, I'm sure they'll convince you, but once the food arrives is completely tasteless and it is expensive. There are better restaurants near by. The service started good, but once they started getting more people, it became really bad. The show is not bad, but is not amazing either,... More
