Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel, and I have to say I was very impressed. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room with a fantastic view of the sea, and were also given a free bottle of champagne and box of chocolates as we were travelling as a couple which... More

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights which was the right amount of time to really experience Havana and the free bus to the center of the town was very convenient and made the distance you were away from the center bearable. The hotel has a large pool which was busy when we were there and we did not... More

The hotel is a bit too big, with large and spacious nicely furnished rooms, dining hall and reception area. It is fairly clean, given plenty unused space, and the services is reasonably good. The room maids are eager to impress you with towel decoration, but also eager to be paid for that. I especially enjoyed the food and live salsa... More

Horrendously expensive internet. Breakfast is ok and bar food is nice. Staff reminded me of service in the Eastern Bloc in the 70s but at least they smiled. The hotel is rather like a concrete car park with windows. Agree with others that the pool is nice.

The best of the hotel is the outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet is average and so is the standard of the rooms. Large rooms, with a large balcony, but one can see how the maintenance is not keeping up to date. But then again, most of Havana is in this situation. Quite hard to judge. The lobby bar has live... The security people at this hotel are not polite. they show bad mood and always seem to be hungry. They ask you before greetting whether or not you are guest at the hotel. Maintenance poor, I called the reception requesting to unblock the toilette of my room and they never sent for somebody to fix it.

We spent 3 wonderful days in Havana and stayed in this hotel, The Melia Habana. On arriving the girls at reception were very welcoming and checked us in very quickly. Alberto one of the doormen/bellboy took our luggage and proceeded to show us to our room. He was delightful and very informative of the city. All staff we had dealings... More

Upon arrived it was evident that through the presence of many security staff that either there was an security issue with the locals or trouble in the hotel. Our stay was pleasant despite having to change rooms due to no air con. However on the last day I was confronted by a man outside of the security fence who was... More

We stayed here for 1 night at the end of a 2-week trip to Cuba in June 2014. Our room number was 3113. I chose this hotel due to the largely positive reviews on tripadvisor, but I have to say my stay here left me feeling a little let down. Perhaps we were unlucky! On arrival we patiently stood at...
