Meliá Habana - Hotel in Havana We only stayed in this Hotel overnight on a two day trip to Havana. The Meliá Habana hotel is modern and located in the heart of Miramar, the new business centre of Havana. Right next to Fifth Avenue, 10 minutes from the historic city centre, 15 minutes from the José Martí International Airport and... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in May in a Cuba Multicentre holiday. The hotel was very impressive not just for cuba but for anywhere, the check in took 2 minutes and concierge took our bags to our room. 7th floor Executive Rooms and boy are they! Big TV, desk and lighting and fixtures, nice balcony, HUGE bathroom! and lots... more

Very good 5 star hotel. Ask for sea view room. Very good view and big rooms. Also you may ask for free espresso during your breakfast. The breakfast is good. Never met before free banana, papaya and guayava shake. Also free melon juice. Best swimming pool in the city. A little busy during the weekends but very quiet other days.... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights as an extension to our holiday in Varadero. The hotel is an enormous concrete block near the beach about 15 minutes outside Old Havana. Everything about it is enormous. Huge swimming pool, restaurant, lobby, bedrooms and bathrooms. It has no character at all. That said, the rooms are perfectly acceptable. They are... more

I tayed at this hotel in Feburary, 2009. The weather was cold, the rooms had no heat. If you exchanged dolars for cus, the cuban peso is called and the only form of reconized exchange, you got 80 cus for every 100 dolars. It goes down from there ! WE were charged for five nights when we only stayed four,... more

Liked the amenities, pool, small gym, and visited a couple of the bars. Our room had a long balcony, as it was a corner unit - this made the room a little larger too. Buffet breakfast was good. Across the road there is a very reasonable coffee shop that serves large portions at very reasonable prices - "Amelia's". Miramar is... more

Stayed at this hotel as part of an 'Overnight in Havana' tour. Having stayed at the 4* Melia White hotel, London (which was a totally amazing experience) I had high expectations for this hotel. Location was great, as it was not too far a drive from Club Tropicana, Casa De La Musica and The Old Town. The hotel lobby was... more

My husband and I (age 30 and 35) have just returned from two weeks in Cuba. The first was spent at the Melia Habana. What made this hotel such a great experience was our complimentary upgrade to a Royal Suite on the 8th floor of this hotel. The room was amazing! Including, two full bathrooms, beautiful ocean view, flat screen... more

Hotel lobby is very grand - certainly what you would expect for a 5*. Its location is ideal if you want to see the tropicana show - and its not that far from Havana Old Town The pool looked nice but this was off limits to "overnight" guests. Our room was quite basic and i think this was one room... more
