Mot back packers stay here but If you have a medium sized luggage bag each like we do, be warned that this is e narrow steep flights of stairs up the second floor. The trip from airport to San ignacio in Santa Clara is about 30 mins. Interesting ride passing old cars which feels like being in an old movie... More

We stayed 2 nights at the start of our 2 week Cuban holiday and 1 night at the end. Ana & Surama were amazing. The rooms were immaculate, the beds super comfy, the breakfast was scrummy and the location was super close to Plaza Vieja. We would definitely visit here again and recommend it. We stayed here with our 10... More

We spent two weeks visiting Cuba in June. In moving around the island to make the most of our time, we naturally started in Havana, moved on to Trinidad and eventually ended our trip in sunny Varadero. Yearning for a taste of "the real Cuba" we decided all of our accommodation would be best spent in casas rather than hotels.... More

I stayed at Ana y Surama's for a few days with my partner and two friends. We had an eventful time in Havana, where we were conned by a couple of Cubans into buying fake cigars for a hefty sum of money (beware of the 'one day festival' story). Amazingly when we told Surama what had happened, she asked us... More

Very clean and spacious. Interesting interior, with some lovely furniture and antiques. Location is superb - very near to Havana Vieja. Would heartily recomend this for a stay. Excellent value for money too.

This was by far the nicest Casa we had on our 3 week tour of Cuba. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a flight from Santiago de Cuba. Our taxi driver had problems locating the Casa but after asking a couple of locals we soon discovered it. A first it seemed a little daunting as it... More

We stayed for three nights here in April and had a wonderful stay. Very cool, beautifully decorated casa just a couple of minutes walk from all the attractions of Havana Vieja. Fantastic breakfasts and evening meal (for which you need a big appetite to clear the plate). Even though we spoke no Spanish and they spoke no English we managed... More

The casa is beautiful, in a perfect location and Surama is a great host. We were made to feel very welcome, in particular our 3-year-old daughter who looked for Surama every time we came back to the casa. Our bedroom and shared bathroom (excellent shower) were spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed the view from our balcony. We highly recommend this... More

We arrived in Havana in the hottest September on record and were so happy to feel the coolness of Surama's Casa. The hospitality is wonderful, the rooms are great for Old Town and breakfast was wonderful. This is a third floor home with narrow stairs, but if you ca do that, this is a great central location for Havana Viejo.... More

This casa is brilliantly situated right near the Plaza Vieja in a beautiful part of the old town. The casa is lovely and Surama gave us a great welcome and good food. We would really recommend staying here as you can easily get to all areas in Habana Vieja and Surama and her daughter are really helpful. Thank you Surama,... More
