Let me make this clear, we did not choose this hotel. This tour was part of an excursion package from Cayo Santa Maria where we paid $451.14 USD ( for two people) to Sunwing excursions/Gaviota Tours to visit Havana, spend the night and see the Tropicana Show. The Sunwing Rep at our 7 day Hotel ( Iberostar Ensenachos ) did... More

We didn't have any high expectations for this hotel therefore we weren't disappointed upon arrival. The hotel is old and run down, beds are uncomfortable, safety boxes are broken, staff are not really attentive etc. If you just need a cheap place to crash between flights it's an ok choice. But if you're looking for a comfortable hotel to enjoy... More

A lot of the reviews says something like "you get what you pay for" so I hope this hotel was damn cheap! Nothing special and the service was very slow - as the rest of Cuba of course.. The rooms are actually all right but the NOISE!! All the rooms have a "balcony" and a view of a yard.. a... More

Cheap and outdated. The rooms were spacious and air conditioned. Stayed due to a close proximity to the Viazul bus terminal. Otherwise would give it a miss. The breakfast was very average and tasteless. I'd take snacks with you, our flight arrived late and we couldn't get food from the hotel or in the area at 9pm.

Although a bit of a distance from Old Havana, where we were meeting our musician chums, this was an excellent experience (particularly given the low price). The hotel is used by quite a few conferences and we can see why. The staff were very friendly, food was good and rooms good. A taxi into Old Havana was 10 CUCs each... More

I stayed here with a group of friends in January . We were 10 people, tourists visiting Cuba. We chose this hotel because it was in the neighbourhood close to a friend's home and it was easier to meet with the whole group. The area is a good area for havana, not touristy, but quiet and quite safe. We had... More

This massive socialist hotel complex hosts mainly cuban tourists while many of them are travel groups (like sporting teams etc.). It's an ok option if you don't look for something fancy. Rooms are clean and service is straightforward and working. The building reminds of a military camp or a school holiday resort. It's very big (probably a few hundred rooms)... More

Hotel Tulipan, it's a good hotel i can say, but not that good. when we reached there, Havana was 19:00, there were 6 people on the line for book in. we took 1 and half hour to book in, their service is super slow. and remember, if you book in hotel tulipan online, you have to print out the receive... We stayed at hotel Tulipan for 10 Days on our trip to Cuba in March 2012. The hotel staff was very nice. Some of the Desk staff was Bilingual, which was very helpful and not the norm for Cuba in non tourist areas. This was not a touristy hotel. It is a hotel for mostly Cuban business people. Additionally it... More
