If you're looking for a place to stay in Havana, look no more. Rooms are are equipped with everything you might need (AC, fridge, etc.). Hosts, as well as staff are kind and helpful. Rooms are always neat and tidy. Last but not least, delicious local cuisine is served. I recommend it for everyone!

Stayed at this Casa as La Casa Amador was fully booked upstairs. Carmen assisted despite my poor Spanish with all taxi bookings and also with a booking to the Parisien Cabaret. She was a lovely host. She had a helper (Cuca) whose English was a better and Cuca made a great meal one night and the food was plentiful. Stayed... More

I spent 5 nights in Casa del Carmen, and it was a very pleasant one. Great accomodation: clean and full featured (air con, h/c water, tv, fridge). The family is very welcoming and helpful. A small drawback (that has its advantages though), is that it is a bit far from the center, which meant taxis everyday to and from the... More

Dear guide book, My girlfriend and I traveled to Cuba for a month now. We went to a casa particular that we read about in the site couchsurfing.org (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/carmen-castillo) and where we can see good references. The couple who run this casa is really very nice, they are Carmen and Roli and you really feel very comfortable with them. They... More

Excellent place to stay. The house is 100 meter walk to Malecon and Salsa Club 1830. Room very clean: every day new sheets, towels, soap etc. The staff teaches salsa to guests, I had a possibility for private salsa lesson every day. I higly recommend this casa.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our stay in Cuba and Carmen looked after us very well. We arrived late evening both times but this was no problem. The room was perfectly clean and breakfast was very tasty. The only disadvantage was the location as it is a long way from the centre of the old town,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and Carmen looked after us very well. Our room was clean and we had hot water in our bathroom. We only had breakfast there plus a snack in the evening that we arrived, but the food was great. Carmen doesn't speak English (and we didn't speak Spanish) but that didn't stop us from having... You get a very warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their english is limited but you can get by with only limited Spanish, which is all part of the fun when you are abroad. The whole Casa was very clean and our room was prepared on a daily basis. The food in Cuban restaurants is hit... More

Staying at Carmen's was truly great. The attention superb, worries-free with lots of helpful info. The 4-circles rank is due to the somewhat challenging aspect of location; not far from anywhere yet a taxi would always be required to go into town or Miramar. We experienced 2 rooms, both great yet with no light at one of them. Highly recommended... More
