Great position in San Francisco plaza for touring the old quarter. You can get a great feel for the area before the cruise ship crowds arrive. Breakfast a bit limited in options. Beds not the most comfortable due to cheap mattresses . Rooms very clean. Hotel architecture fantastic. We were given the option to upgrade to a 4th floor suite... More

What can I say - totally amazing hotel! Rooms, staff, food, service and location were all superb! We stayed here for the first week of our two week anniversary holiday. We upgraded to a suite which was massive and had a jucuzzi bath in the room. Restaurant and breakfast food was excellent. The only problem was lack of WiFi BUT... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in February and also stayed a night each at Saratoga and Nacional, both of which were impressive in different ways but this was the best in terms of location and convenience. The staff are delightful and helpful and the room was well equipped and fairly quiet. The Buddy Bears were in the square which... More

This boutique hotel is well located on San Francisco Plaza.( which is currently hosting the UNESCO Buddy Bears) so it is within easy walking distance of many of the main sights of Havana. Our room was clean and comfortable - not 5* but remember you are in Cuba. The reception was friendly and breakfast was included in our room rate.... More

The hotel is straight across from the port and car rental agencies. It is also close to all the sights. We also stayed in 5 star iberostar but I preferred here. The staff were friendlier and being a small hotel meant there was a relaxed atmosphere.

With Havana, tempering expectations is helpful. This is in many ways a lovely hotel. Its location is excellent, right on San Francisco Plaza, one of the main squares in Havana (and a beautiful one at that). We upgraded to a suite, and it was comfortable, though awkward - essentially a spacious railroad apartment where you go from the living/dining room... More

Located in old town Havana opposite open square and church. This hotel comes highly recommended as a great base to explore Havana. Breakfast is included in the room rate and the choice and quality is suburb. Loads of restaurants to choose from in close proximity. Music and dance shows are within 200 metres. Room we're clean and tidy.

We arrived in Havana on 29th December and stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Palacio San Felipe. After our very long, two hour entry through passport control it was pleasant to arrive at the hotel set in a quiet part of the old colonial city. As with many other buildings in old Havana the facades have been cleaned and renovated... More

I thought this hotel was great for Havana Cuba considering the other hotels we walked into and ate at. The bar had fruit flies and the food had great presentation but was not cooked properly (chicken dry, octopus overcooked, etc). The reception seemed cold but maybe that's just a Cuban thing. It was like they were trying really hard to... More
