As a group of 4 adults and 18 teenagers (on a ballet summer school), we absolutely loved staying (for a month!) at the Chateau Miramar. All the staff (everyone, including the chambermaids, front of house staff, bar and kitchen staff and handymen) are warm and kind, they bent over backwards for us and supplied us with everything we needed, even... If you are looking for a hotel in Havana to get your breath back after a 10 hour flight from London intending to travel to another resort in Cuba or arriving back from another resort and want a breather for a day or two before the long flight home (in my case London) you could well consider this one. Miramar... More

We had a two week stay in Varadero and following an organised overnight tour to Havana we wanted to go back again and explore the city and nightlife at our own pace so we booked the Chateaux Miramar as a last minute thing through the agent at our resort. With it being last minute, all of the hotels in the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our Colonial Cuba Tour with Travel Collection/Kuoni. Our room was on the second floor opposite the aquarium, but not high up enough to enjoy the show!! The room was spacious with 2 double beds. The bathroom was also quite large and there was plenty of hot water and the shower worked... More

Reading the other reviews tells me that we all seem to be in agreement that this hotel is not 4* but at best 3*. There are refurbished rooms facing the Aquarium try to get into those as the rooms on the sea side are in need of a serous overhall. Ther are also some fast food outlets where the locals... More

Miramar is in the quiet Embassy district some miles from the Old Town of Havana. Travel to and fro was provided by Kuoni a bit iffy and in taxis without seat belts in the back. This service was essential as it would cost you 16 - 20 CUP per return trip to the Old Town. One particularly awkward driver left... More

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of a longer holiday. Our 4th floor room had been recently refurbished, had a sea view and was satisfactory in all respects. The public areas were also fine. The location of the hotel was a bit bleak, though the fresh sea breeze was very welcome. Breakfast was uninspiring, but poolside drinks and snacks... More

My hubby and I used one of the rooms to freshen up while on a Havana tour from Varadero. The supper buffet was very small, not alot of selection and not very good, but oh well. The room had 2 beds in it, with a mishmash of unmatching furniture and old dingy comforters that were badly stained and no curtains.... More

This hotel has been refurbished fairly recently and to a good standard. The rooms are spacious and ours had two king sized beds (probably queen size in US). The bathroom was also very spacious and had a combined bath/shower. Our room overlooked the National Aquarium - which is handy if you like watching seals. The breakfast was of the usual... More

My husband and I stayed for three nights in this hotel mid June on a package incorporating Havana and a beach resort. It overlooks the National Aquarium, and since nearly all of the rooms and balconies overlook this, it can be noisy when there is a show taking place. So saying, we were delighted to see performing seals almost opposite... More
