We had booked a 4 night stay at this so-called 4 star hotel and it had the potential to ruin our holiday. I only actually visited rather than stayed in Hotel Inglaterra in April 2009 but encountered the rudest, least professional reception staff I have come across while visiting 80 countries worldwide and staying in thousands of places. I'm afraid that the Inglaterra is desperately in need of a refurbishment - and there are now better hotels with good service. However.....do go along and visit the rooftop bar. The atmosphere is excellent, the staff are so friendly, the musicians are excellent, dancing salsa in the shadow of the Capitol building is just magical. We went back every night... more
