We loved our staying in here because is near everything. Walking distance from museums, bars and restaurants. The building is magnificent and well maintaned. The food is good, the staff is really friendly

if your visiting Havana for a few nights then this hotel isn't so bad its centrally located, they have a great roof top bar with beautiful views of Havana and . . . that's where the benefits end. The food was awful 9 we ate out most of the time and went for breakfast at the hotel across the road.... More

The oldest hotel in Havana, centrally located and filled with charm and history. Visit and perhaps have a cafecito or beer on the patio however even if you have a room on a high floor with a window and balcony as I did, don't stay here unless you like sleeping on a concrete mattress with a paper towel for a... We ate at their outdoor cafe and the food was good but the live entertainment was what was memorable - a Cuban band with a great singer and bongo player. We purchased their DVD and are looking forward to watching it upon our return from Havana, We also bought some souvenirs in their shop and the clerk was most helpful... More

Arrived to a wonderful lobby with moorish tiles and beautifu ironwork. Receptionists very professional and helpful.First rooms we were shown were internal so no windows to the outside but onto internal areas - felt a bit claustrophobic. We asked for different rooms and these were organised without question. We now had balconies to the outside world in a beautiful location... More

We spent 2 nights at the hotel, and the maids stole several things from our rooms (we were 6 passengers), like sunglasses, headphones, and clothes. We did not make a complaint at the police, because we had only two days for visiting La Havana, and we decided to enjoy this short time doing sightseeing rather than visit the police station.... Service was very bad. They forgot to book our room, voucher was forgotten in their mailbox. Staff is very unkind, nobody speaks a word of English. We had to wait for hours at the reception desk. Room was very unclean. Toilet was clogged. Although its location is really nice, for us it was a very bad experience.

This 1875 colonial hotel, is excellent situated opposite Central Park, a few steps from El Floridita where Ernest Hemingway was a frequent customer, next to El Capitolio and El Gran Teatro and basically everything interesting to see in Old Havana is at fingertip distance but one important thing is to forget of WiFi for a while because is not available... From the outside this hotel meets the expectations of being one of the oldest hotels in Havana. The public areas hark back to the colonial past as expected and have some exceptionally lovely features. It is in the centre of old Havana so ideal for exploring. However the room standard was very poor, dirty, holes in the wall and a... More
