The hotel and lobby are beautifully renovated, I highly suggest walking in there, and then walking out again. The rooms really aren't by standards of a 4 star hotel. The windows have huge gaps between them, which let you hear all the noise of the streets. We tried to change rooms but the only other rooms available were rooms with... More

Great location. Beautiful hotel with a lot of history and charm. I would definitely stay here again. An easy walk to everything in the historic center (sites and restaurants). The room services was good, but we had to continually ask for more towels. Even though there were two of us, we would be given only one bath towel for the... More

Stayed here for 6 days at the beginning of June and found the hotel excellent. All the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. the rooms were great, all with en-suite and air-con, and the location was excellent, very central beside the main government building and everything within walking distance. Havana itself is excellent with the habaneros being... More

The hotel's location is great, easy to walk into old Havana, and to central Havana. It's the oldest hotel in Havana, so the showers had issues, air con didn't always work etc. but we weren't expecting luxury and not too bothered with the little problems. And the location makes up for it. The terrace downstairs had a good atmosphere and... More

Great location, beautiful architecture and features, very central. We literally only stayed here one night, it was a late check in and mid-day check out. The buffet breakfast was good, catering to European tastes (plenty of fresh fruits, cheeses, coffee, eggs, pancakes, bacon...etc.). Great terrace at the front of the hotel - allowing you to people watch, have a snack... More

This hotel is beautiful both inside and out but once you get into your room, it's just another standard hotel. You are able to book day-trips through the hotel desk, which was easy enough for us to do considering we speak zero Spanish. Speaking Spanish here is an advantage but by no means necessary. The roof-top bar was cool, the... More

We have just returned from a three night stay at the Inglaterra as part of a ten day trip to Cuba. If you are looking for somewhere that has plenty of character as opposed to a bland, boring 4 star hotel that could be anywhere in the world then this is the place for you. It is certainly not luxurious... More

What a gorgeous hotel, in a wonderful location. Stunning cars outside in the square. We erroneously assumed that the name of the hotel meant that some staff might speak English. We were used to getting by in Spanish, but this was our last night in lovely Cuba and we longed for an easy ride. Reception had a half hearted attempt... More

Beautiful old architecture hotel, good value and perfect location as only a walk away to Habana Viejo ( old Havana), but staff don't want to help at all and tour from them are pretty expensive. there is a nice rooftop bar at night with live music and local food. outside taxi guys surround you constantly, so best to walk further... Last night in Havanna, ending with cigars, rum and good food. Hotel has excellent location, on the central park. Energy from the square is tangible on the veranda. Food is well priced. Waiters very friendly and service quick. Fantastic musicians fills the air with upbeat music - a mix of spanish and cuban. We were especially intrigued by the players,... More
