Service was very bad. They forgot to book our room, voucher was forgotten in their mailbox. Staff is very unkind, nobody speaks a word of English. We had to wait for hours at the reception desk. Room was very unclean. Toilet was clogged. Although its location is really nice, for us it was a very bad experience.

This 1875 colonial hotel, is excellent situated opposite Central Park, a few steps from El Floridita where Ernest Hemingway was a frequent customer, next to El Capitolio and El Gran Teatro and basically everything interesting to see in Old Havana is at fingertip distance but one important thing is to forget of WiFi for a while because is not available... From the outside this hotel meets the expectations of being one of the oldest hotels in Havana. The public areas hark back to the colonial past as expected and have some exceptionally lovely features. It is in the centre of old Havana so ideal for exploring. However the room standard was very poor, dirty, holes in the wall and a... More

This review only concerns the restaurant, where we had a quick lunch after arriving in Havanna. And that was pretty descent. We only had a sandwich each, which costs around 5CUC, but is really good and relatively big. We enjoyed the ambience of that place, with the interesting view and the live music.

We stayed at Hotel Inglaterra from July 7th to July 10th. This is a very interesting hotel. Beautiful restored colonial hotel but with functional deficiency in today’s modern hotel standard. The location is excellent. It is situated in the heart of Old Havana. Walking distance to restaurant, historic sites, shopping, bar, seawalk, etc. The double decker tour bus is across... More

Nice Hotel with plenty of character in the heart of Havana. Very pleasant staff, food and drink not cheap, rooms basic but comfortable. Buffet breakfast plenty of choice but typically 'bland' Cuban style food. Male travellers be aware that the hotel attracts more than its fair share of 'ladies of the night'. They frequent the bars both inside and outside... More

Hotel Inglaterra has an impressive facade and authentic, interesting public areas. The breakfast choice was excellent, as was the quality of the food. My room however was tiny, dark and in dire need of refurbishment. Having said that, the location is perfect; walking distance from all the old town sights and the seafront and since time in the room was... More

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel, our first impression after the long flight is one of both disappointment and awe, it's not until you actually sit back and relax that you can take in the beauty of this majestic if not in need of a little more tlc central hotel. The location is fantastic, the hotel has a quaint... More

This building is majestic, romantic, historic. As you walk in, it's like your taken back to a different time and space, almost as if you went back in time to the 40's. But in this hot summer, the building has barely any air conditioning that would seem comfortable as some of the modern building of today, so it remains rather... More

The Hotel Inglaterra in Old Havana is a treasure for Cuba travelers who want a well located stay that gives you an authentic feel at reasonable prices. It's clean, comfortable and just the right size for good service. Parque Central us across the street where you can see the baseball fans discuss baseball at the area of the park called... More
