This hotel is quite old, but charming despite the age. The rooms are quite small and dated, but clean. Food was average, but the highlight of the hotel, and probably all of Old Havana, is the awesome sidewalk patio with an authentic Cuban band!!!

oldest one in Havana, from 1875, and shows its age. bad: no wifi at all, less-than friendly staff both at reception and restaurant. good: location, right in the middle of everything. modern bathrooms, well-working air-conditioning. amazing space out front for light meals, coffee, drinks, etc., under roof but open to the sidewalk and Park Centro. best place for leisuerly people... Stayed in this hotel twice in January. We've been told it's the oldest hotel in Havana - and well, it does feel like it. A classical colonial building, also inside you can feel like you've traveled back in time - which can be good or bad depending on your preferences. The first room we got had a malfunctioning toilet. The... More

All the reviews I read about Hotel Inglaterre are accurate. It really comes down to your approach on quirkiness and character. If you're looking for somewhere spotless and modern - don't go here. We loved the character of the place, the old grandeur, the shower ceiling which leaked from the room above. Our room was at the front of the... More

We travelled all of havana & the inglaterra has the best location of any hotel, so long as you don't expect too much from your room (( which is clean & liveable ) you will enjoy your stay, good choice at breakfast but best of all is the music. Just sitback & enjoy the wonderful entertainment the various groups provide:absolutely... More

Great looking colonial hotel situated in the centre of Havana. The communal areas have old world charm seeping out of every corner, the bar/terrace at the front of the hotel is a great place to sit and unwind sipping a Mojito while listening to one of the Cuban bands that appear to be always playing there. The bedroom we had... More

Pros Nice authentic hotel in a great location on the central square. Good rooftop bar - with part covering so good for taking a break and sheltering from the sun in the day. Terrace bar on the entrance is lively and has lots of live music going on Welcoming reception staff Room cleaning was good. Cosmopolitan mix of ages 20-70,... More

It is an state company hotel. Room was clean but very outdated. Service at front desk was ok. Breakfast wast terrible, service was not there. Dirty tables, employees did not care. Seemed like if they were in a strike. Reception service was just ok. Prices were outrageous. Location was good. This hotel is not a 4 stars Two and a... More

the good - amazing facade, amazing reception, central location, maid service (but they are well tipped so work hard) the bad - some food areas are bad - supper on roof terrace upstairs has better food with good music, breakfast ok, but the snack bar on ground floor is inedible even by cuban standards (so it really varies - go... Very interesting hotel right in the heart of Havana although with all the transport they have here, it wasn't necessary to stay in the middle of everything. Good enough breakfast. Really nice Cuban music played at outside lobby bar area. Beautiful hotel with high ceilings and very large rooms/bathroom (ENORMOUS). Friendly reception staff and staff in general. Very good location... More
