I have been to Cuba about 6 times in the past 2 1/2 years and stayed at the Deauville at least part of the time, each trip. They are renovating and the pool is temp closed, but the reception and restaurant areas are clean and modern.Rooms are clean and QUIET ! Staff are more than friendly. This is a secure, safe... more

Spent 4 nights at the Deauville at the end of May, 2009. Arrived at midnight and everything was ready, large and clean room on the 11th floor with both city and ocean views. Really pretty watching sunset over Fort Morro. The hotel had enough of the necessities though we had been warned to bring them, not needed. The tv worked... more

We arrived and they didn't have our booking - they were also not very helpful in trying to work out why they had not received the booking. We eventually worked out it was a problem with the travel agent (hotelbeds) who we had paid but had not paid them - and so we had to pay them again directly (they... more

First off remember this is Cuba, standards are much lower than what you may have experienced in other parts of the world, even at the smartest hotels. Bearing that in mind, the Deauville is good value for what you will pay and has a fantastic location on the famed Malecon with wonderful views across the sea and over much of... more

Paid 26$ par night last octobre, booked it at the last minute for a must save my mind getaway! spend 3 nights there, then 4 nights in the Seville (Old Havana). Well, for the Deauville: great, absolutly great view from the 12th floor, witha nice balcony. The pool (a bit... old) was OK, it's great to take a sunbath at... more

Visited Havana on JAN 2008 .Well the price of Deauville was amaizing - 16 EUR per night for single room with breakfast, so we risked to take 3 single rooms for the last night before flight back to Europe. What can I say... I am not very whimsical but it was almost worse hotelin my life (unnumbered Russia countryside). There... more

We knew to expect a basic hotel - so there were no nasty surprises when we arrived at the Hotel Deauville, on day one of our 2wk tour of Cuba. In fact, we had a sea view and a powerful-ish shower... good start! The breakfast was fine, good selection and later found it was actually one of the better ones... more

We came here only for the location, Malecon and Old Havana, which is really nice. The hotel, though, was quite disappointing and the worst experience during our 8 day's tour around Cuba. When we opened the door to the room, it had a horrible smell. We had the suspicion it was riddled with mould, and after an hour's nap, we... more

After a while in Cuba, one is very happy to have a clean bed, hot(ish) water, and not too much noise. This you get at the Deauville + excellent views, a swimming pool and a good location in walking distance of Havana Vieja. Staff are helpful enough. Breakfast just about edible. For the money (60 CUC for a double), and... more

This hotel is not that good but it isn't that bad either. Location in on the Malecon, which is good, on walking distance from the old centre. Beds have very little support. Shower is not hot and didn't have a support to keep it up. Rooms and towels are clean. Staff was nice and supportive. Pool on the 7th floor... more
