To say that this hotel is run down is a real understatement. I slept in fear that the large piece of hanging plaster would fall on my head during the night. In the morning the material used instead of a pillow was falling out of the case. It was a kind of yellow gauze. I didn't explore further. One elevator... More

I was in this hotel in April. I arrived around midnight. Taxi from airport to hotel was 20 CUC and it's ordinary price. Of course I had to wait on reception, but I was prepared for it.After less then half of hour I got room on 10th flour. Room was quite spacious and clean, only with smell of the place which... More

If you like the worst impressions get out of communism age, try it. Natural problem are lack of toilet paper, clean towels, tolerable food. Towels are similar to mop. Swimming pool looks like not cleaned for years. Rooms with fallen beds. Only advantage are: 1/ drink bar at hall (good coffee espresso and coctails: Cuba Libre, Pinacolada, Mojito (with white... My room whenever I came back was very clean, with this purpose you should leave some tip 1CUC. Breakfast decent acording with Cubans standards, also leave tips.If you do not want be treated with rudeness you have to have in mind that wages are deplorables.Be nice and they will answer the same way... Warning: Do not take any drink made with rum... More

If you want to stay in or near old Havana this is the only moderately priced choice. There are better hotels, but you will pay for it thanks to the monopoly one company has on downtown hotels. The Deauville is right on the Malecon, which is good, and it is about a 15 minute walk from Obispo where the tourist... More

Lived in this hotel for two nights. The room are shabby and the personal are very ignorant. When I was about to check out they fixed so that one old lamp in the room was brooken and made my pay 38 dollars for it. It was an obious trick to make me pay more money and they even claimed that... More

The hotel is not a nightmare but it's not also like a paradise. Certainly everyone would find better hotels on that location for almost the same price range. Pros: has a swimming pool, seaside view and a lobby with a bar opened 24 hours a day. Cons: the water in all the rooms where I've been where always could, the... More

Not one of the nicest hotels in Havana but certainly a great location. When you look at hotels in Cuba you really need to accept that the star rating is at least 1 lower than the rating given and that the hotel will be in a state of neglect. That said, once you get your expectations leveled out then you... More

I went here last week, never ever go again - the corridors are dark, dingy, lights and lifts broken. bugs in the room mattresses which have springs broken. once youre in the room after dark its a scary thought to leave it and go out. Only saving grace is that the staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet is reasonable.
