The rooms have no Aircondition..and in the summerheat you'll need this...you can find rooms with Airco for the same price at the same location. Also you share a bathroom, which is not a problem but again, for the same price and in the same surrounding you can find rooms with better options.

In busy Havana Vieja this quiet casa has an excellent location only a short walk from major attractions such as Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja, Calle Obispo and Parque Central with the Capitolio. The casa is the large upstairs of a colonial grand house, with a superb lighted patio and arcade doors - the loveliest we have seen in all... More

colonial house by an older couple. The house feels like a home for the elderly. Only in their living room are windows. The corridor, the 4 or 5 rooms, the back of the house, all without windows! There is only 1 bathroom for this 4 or 5 rooms! (the owner lies about the number of guest that will use the... More

The rooms are basic, but clean and reasonably quiet. The breakfast (an extra 4 cups/person) was plentiful and good. Overall, we enjoyed the stay - and certainly felt that the price was extremely reasonable. That said, we experienced the same disappointment with the bathroom situation as many other writers. The photos make it look as though there are 2 bathrooms,... More

This casa is in a prime location in Habana Vieja. It is more of a communal environment with shared bathrooms and kitchen. Everything is dated but relatively clean. We stayed here at the last minute after having a bad experience at another casa, which served our immediate needs. Skip the breakfast. The family is very sweet. Pablo and Lydia are... More

Like others, we thought this casa offered ensuite or private bathroom (as stated in LP guide) so were disappointed to find we had to share the only guest bathroom at the end of the corridor with 2 others on the first night and 7 others on the second night. It seems Pablo & Lidia let more than 2 rooms! If... More

We stayed there 3 nights when we first arrived in Havana and then the last night of our stay in Cuba before the departure flight. The first time we stayed we were given a room with a double-bed (with no window), but the second time we had to stay in a room (which looked like a closet) with an individual... More

Good stuff first, The place was clean, Pablo and his wife were nice and polite and the breakfast was nice too, fruit. bread, eggs, coffee and fresh juice. Its also in a good location in the old town close to the Plaza Vieja. We changed the plan of our trip while we were there so had to find a casa... More

In stead of the negative reactions below, we had a completely different experience with this casa. The casa is well located, just about a few minutes from Obispo and also a few blocks from Plaza Vieja. Friendly old people, they don't interfere with us. Ok, the top door is open, but you can close this by your selve. No problem... More

Staying here was the biggest mistake I made in my holiday in Cuba and my trip to Cuba was full of mistakes and things I should have done differently. But hindsight is a truly wonderful thing isn't it? Thankfully it was only for one night. We stayed at another casa where we were given the key and left alone. Here... More
