This casa is in a prime location in Habana Vieja. It is more of a communal environment with shared bathrooms and kitchen. Everything is dated but relatively clean. We stayed here at the last minute after having a bad experience at another casa, which served our immediate needs. Skip the breakfast. The family is very sweet. Pablo and Lydia are... More

Like others, we thought this casa offered ensuite or private bathroom (as stated in LP guide) so were disappointed to find we had to share the only guest bathroom at the end of the corridor with 2 others on the first night and 7 others on the second night. It seems Pablo & Lidia let more than 2 rooms! If... More

We stayed there 3 nights when we first arrived in Havana and then the last night of our stay in Cuba before the departure flight. The first time we stayed we were given a room with a double-bed (with no window), but the second time we had to stay in a room (which looked like a closet) with an individual... More

Good stuff first, The place was clean, Pablo and his wife were nice and polite and the breakfast was nice too, fruit. bread, eggs, coffee and fresh juice. Its also in a good location in the old town close to the Plaza Vieja. We changed the plan of our trip while we were there so had to find a casa... More

In stead of the negative reactions below, we had a completely different experience with this casa. The casa is well located, just about a few minutes from Obispo and also a few blocks from Plaza Vieja. Friendly old people, they don't interfere with us. Ok, the top door is open, but you can close this by your selve. No problem... More

Staying here was the biggest mistake I made in my holiday in Cuba and my trip to Cuba was full of mistakes and things I should have done differently. But hindsight is a truly wonderful thing isn't it? Thankfully it was only for one night. We stayed at another casa where we were given the key and left alone. Here... More

Booked this casa 3 days before the 8th of Feb through phone in Cuba. Knowing that they sometimes overbook in order to relay you elsewhere i made surtain to ask questions like "You have room in YOUR casa right?", "We'll be staying at your casa nowhere else?". All of the questions were answered yes (and she spoke good english so... More

I stayed two nights at Casa Pablo Rodriguez in August 2009. The casa is Habana Vieja, very close to major attractions. The immediate neighborhood is quite poor but walk only two blocks away and it's in noticeably better condition. The main casa quarters are on the second floor after a steep stair case and the rooms center around a large... More
