My partner and I have travelled all over the world, have stayed in modest accommodations in Asia with great satisfaction and at 5 star resorts. This resort was sold to our family through Sunning vacations as an all inclusive 4 star resort, that provided a breakfast only, a kitchenette at an extra cost and boasted services such as a tennis... We stayed at the El Comodoro in Havana, Cuba for two nights. The apartment itself was not the best as there was no working lights above the bathroom mirror. Several flies in the bathroom and AC units in the bedrooms that were extremely cold and could not be adjusted only turned off completely. The beds were very comfortable, but to... More

Awful hotel, ridiculously expensive. We checked out 3 days early and changed hotels as it was so terrible and dirty. Awful service, lazy, sleazy, rude and unhelpful staff, would not trust any staff at this heinous hell hole as they are all trying to rip you off. Worst place we have ever stayed, would highly recommend avoiding at all costs.

We stayd here on the last nigh of our trip and thank god it was only one night. What they call private beach is something I can not describe, the pictures you see here are real, it is really bad. From the three restaurants only one of them was working, the Italian. The food was not bad. When we got... More

I stayed at Comodoro for about a month, and I really liked the place, its more of a resort, specially the bungalows. It has a great pool and amazing view to the ocean, actually you can just jump in. But there is a big question mark on the cleanliness in the hotel. Also, there were 2 occasions when there was... More

We stayed here for 3 nights for the start of a Best of Cuba tour, so we didn't actually pick this hotel. We were concerned one the accommodation was confirmed but it really wasn't that bad. Yes, it's run down and smells a bit funny but our room was clean. The main issue was lack of hot running water, but... More

Probably the worst hotel i have stayed in. Worse even than a very cheap budget hotel in India. Dirty, falling apart, dangerous, food bad, staff surly. Would probably benefit from being demolished irredeemably bad,

This hotel has certainly left a mark in my memory Very cuban. Great service. Fun staff. Helpful. Very dirty. Sheets were dirty. A lot of visible big black bedbugs. Roaches. The flying big ones. Breakfast looks delicious but i found a ball of hair in my food Checked out within a day after paying for a week. Sadly

We just returned from an 8 day trip to Cuba, we stayed all 7 nights at the Comodoro. We stayed in the 800 section. The bungalows were dated and smelled a bit musty but they were clean and neat. The front desk staff was nasty and answering a question was too much trouble most had an attitude and full of... More

The hotel complex at first sight looks great. There are apartmenrs in a nice poil landscape. Indeed the swimming pool with its long canals and bridges is the best thing of the hotel. The apartment was dark and in need of refurbishment. The waterfront has basically fallen apart. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes and 10 to 15 euros... More
