Head the warnings.(I question if I stayed at the same hotel as some of these folks) Just came back from a five night stay in Cuba. Disappointing at best. The Las Terrazas would have been a grand place to stay 65 years ago. Sprawling grounds with lots of crumbling amenities, lovely decorative piles of rubble and plenty of empty pools... More

Just got back from a 5 ( shortened to 4) night stay. The place is about a 20 minute cab ride from Old Havana. This sprawling resort would have been a great place to stay, back in the 50's. Now it's a blank blank of it's former glory. However, at under $500CAD for a 5 night stay that included taxes fees... More

We got a great deal ($298 taxes in) for 3 nights at this Euro plan hotel (breakfast included), Mon - Thur. Let me first say, we travel to Cuba A LOT and know what to expect. We've stayed at 4 plus stars and 2 stars, this sadly will likely rank at the bottom for us. Pros - very close to... More

This was our second time at Las Terrazas. Upon arrival at reception we were remembered and greeted. We had a two bedroom with an amazing beach view ! All areas of the hotel were very clean. Highly recommended for the value.

What is good: People form Cuba are lovely, most visitors are nice people, the beach is beautiful, musicians are great, proximity to Habana (a shuttle bus is available) makes day trips easy. What is bad: Rooms are depressing, sofas and drapes are dirty and smelly; mosquitoes are a big problem in rooms because of the permanent stagnant water under the... More

My husband and I stayed there January of 2014 and the again in March of 2014 and found the staff and service to be top notch. I come from a background of hotel management and wish we had the professionalism the Cuban staff provided to us there here in Canada. The first time we were there, we stayed in the... More

This place is great, if you like cockroaches, smeared human faeces on your floor, rude staff and a plethora of juvenile prostitutes. No amount of money saved is worth the stay there. I'm a well-seasoned traveller and I've stayed in my lot of run-down hostels and travelled in many off-the-map destinations. I usually try to get the best bargains and... More

I do not want to spend too long writing this, as the place is not worth wasting any more of my time. TAKE NOTICE OF ALL THE BAD REVIEWS HERE AT TRIPADVISOR. Second visit to Cuba with my Bro-in-Law. We are both old dudes, approaching 70. There are 3 main reasons aside from the weather, for going to Cuba -... More

I stayed there one week with one of my friend in March 2014. let me tell you it is a wastage of money. pay little more and stay in Tropicoco nearby with all inclusive if you want to stay in Las Terrazs. Do not get room in old building, if you have to choose then ask for new building, but... More
