We stayed one night in hotel Ambus Mundo. Great location in old town and amazing panorama view from the roof terrace, but nothing else worth of mentioning. There´s only pinch left of the old time splendour. Poorly maintained, smelled stuffy and moldy. Not very friendly staff.

Arrived having fully paid in advance, to lack of knowledge of our reservation. They suggested we pay a $100 deposit until next day when it could be sorted. Naturally we declined and asked to see the manager. Then they took us in anyway. Problem is that at rooms 217, 317, 417 etc there is a noise all day and night.... More

We booked this hotel for our final night in Cuba having enjoyed a drink in the bar on more than one occasion. We had thought we were in for a treat. Quite the opposite. When we arrived late afternoon there was no water. We were told it would come on in an hour. It did but was cold. On complaining... More

Our travel company (Cuba Travel) booked us into this hotel for our last night in Havana after a very interesting 2 weeks traveling independently through this country. We had also stayed in some local Casa Particulares, and next time would emphasize those accommodations over most of the hotels, especially this one! While the lobby and rooftop bar are wonderful places... More

The hotel was quite nice, there were few issues with the room but generally ok (I'm not a fussy person though). But THE STAFF WAS JUST AWFULLY RUDE. The ruddest reception manager ever made our last day a hell!: We have used few items from the mini bar (non-alcoholic) and I was taking note of the drinks and prices as... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, its a terrific location in a lively pedestrianised area, and the room was fine. We were made to feel especially welcome by Alexander Pulin in the 6th floor bar, he is a great asset to the bar and to the hotel, and we very much enjoyed chatting with him. The views are as good... We went to Ambos Mundos to have breakfast in the rooftop. For 10 CUC per person you get a vast breakfast buffet and an incredible view over Habana Vieja and the old fort. It's highly recommended in case you're looking for a cool spot to have breakfast and if you want to feel a little like Hemmingway...

This beautiful hotel is in the centre of old Habana. The rooms and the floors are beautifully decorated with art deco lamps, colour scheme and mood. The room we had was next door to Hemmingways (his was 511 we were 509) and unfortunately it was so noisy all night, not sure where the noise came from it sounded like people... More

was ten years ago i stayed here for 2 weeks , famed for Earnest Hemingways lodgings , theyve kept his room as a tourist attraction , fine art and classical piano music adorns the bar and lobby area , as well as gawping tourists on guided walkabouts ,, its very 1920s and makes you feel special and privileged to be... We have visited this hotel as a stop on a Havana Tour. They do indeed make very nice mojitos and we have had more than one. Lovely! We haven't stayed as a hotel guest so cannot comment on the rooms. They also have a very nice live music played during the afternoon.
