We visited the cafe portion of Hotel Santa Isabel as we were told they make the best mojito in Havana. The mojito was just ok, I don't think worth the price (5CUC), and the pina colada was good (also 5CUC). The service was good, there was a nice live band playing, so the atmosphere was relaxing. It's a good location... More

We stayed 4 nights in a couples trip to Cuba and picked Santa Isabel mainly based on location and pictures. The 5 star hotel is probably the best located hotel in Havana. I wandered the whole town by foot and would not change this location for anything. Very quiet nights and lively days around it, breezy and awesome views. The... More

The hotel is ideally located on the oldest square in Havana. It provides easy walking to many of the important sites in the old city. It has a lovely configuration with the typical interior courtyard which is a bar area staffed by an excellent bar tender. The front desk personnel including the concierge, while friendly, are not well trained and... More

We did not stay in the hotel but had lunch in the restaurant there which was awful. The chicken was inedible and the other component parts strange and poor. The meal was expensive and then the waiter attempted to overcharge us (I noticed another querying the bill before me). To add insult to injury they added a 10% service charge... More

Having read another review, which had said they arrived only to be turned away, I phoned this hotel 2 days before arrival to check our booking. Having been assured it was fine we arrived on the due date and, guess what, we were turned away. Apparently our room was required for officials. Be careful if you are relying on arriving... More

3 couples made it into Havana for a night and were recommended here by our resort travel agent. The rooms were pricey to say the least, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat! We all got suites on the 2nd floor with big french doors that led to a patio stretching the length of the hotel and overlooking the... More

This hotel is siyuated in the old part of Havana. The rooms have a lot of 'old world' character. The rooms differ quite extensively in size - so check the room before you move in. There are many restaurants close to the hotel and a short walk takes you to the waterfront where you can hure a clasic car for... More

Dear client, We really appreciate your comments to Santa Isabel hotel. We would like to tell you that we are taking measures about the streets dogs as we know it´s disgusting for guests. About breakfast, we have a mini buffet inside the restaurante with natural juice, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, etc but we also have a menu with many other... More

After a long flight we arrived to find out this hotel had been overbooked, no information sent to us so late at night we had no choice but to pay for another hotel. They only have 27 rooms so check before you go to see if your room is confirmed.

This was the perfect hotel for our stay in Havana - great location and stylish. The service wasn't great, particularly at breakfast, but we were aware that this is a problem in most hotels in Cuba. But being so central to the old city landmarks more than made up for that. Definitely book a suite facing the plaza if you... More

It was our anniversary the weekend we stayed at the Santa Isabel so had arranged a Junior Suite over looking the square. All reports that the upgrade to a junior suite is a good thing to do are totally correct. The room floods with afternoon sunlight through vaulted stained glass windows, the views across the square with the bustle and... More
