The Nacional has some wonderful appointments, the wood and marble lobby, the rich, wide hallways. The beautiful avenue of palms out front makes it impossible to photograph. My room was small but clean and adequate. The bathroom was sufficiently updated. You could feel the historic past and it's star studded visitors. The cafeteria food was plentiful but rather interesting if... More

I love and hate this hotel. I've stayed three times and it's always crazy busy. Be warned : it is not in the city centre so need to take a cab there. It's not at all by a beach. The queues to check in and out are always chaotic as well as extensive. They will overcharge you for items you... More

I reccomend to stay in this hotel when in Habana: you feel the history, the courtesy of the personnel is above average, the mohito with the Malecon view is just great! The rooms on the 7th and 8th floor can have a great view: either on the Makecon or a glimps of the city! I've been a repeated client and... More

This is a beautiful hotel.classic and classy.it certainly isn't modern but that's its charm. We had rooms on the third floor overlooking the garden and fountain.they had recently been decorated and we could smell paint through the air conditioning! The air con was fairly noisy but not a problem, it worked efficiently. The staff weren't always friendly but their opinion... More

The charm of what you would expect of Old Havana awaits you at Hotel Nacional. The views of the water are exceptional. The staff is very accommodating. Have a cocktail on the veranda in the afternoon. Enjoy a cigar over looking the malecon in the evening. You will feel like you are walking back in time.

We stayed at the Nacional for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location between the busy 21 and 23 streets and venturing outside gives a real insight to life in this glorious city. The hotel is striking from the outside and hopefully with a little more investment from the government it will regain... More

This hotel was recommended by an old English couple we met during our travels in Cuba and so we thought why not ! We booked it for our last night back in Havana before catching the flight home next morning. Check in only after 4pm and the front office staff although well versed in English have the really bored and... More

Without question I'd stay here again. It's a unique hotel, a beautiful design, and has played host to a whole range of famous visitors down the years (something they aren't shy about letting you know!) The exterior and reception are gorgeous, there is a money changing facility both in reception and deeper within the hotel, and there is plenty to... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a city break, hotel was steeped in history and everywhere you looked there was more history to see! The view from the gardens was amazing and to sit there and watch the carnival down below was brilliant. The staff were helpful and friendly but the choice of food could have been a bit better....
