We have just returned from Havana staying at Casa Madeleine chosen because we wanted to stay in a Casa but also with the option of having some privacy away from the family. We also struggled to find a Casa that could sleep 3 friends who didn't want to share a double bed for a week, this was one of few that offered twin beds in one of the bedrooms. This apartment really is superb! The owner, Madeleine, lives upstairs and it's up to you how much interaction you want to have with her. The apartment is completely self sufficent, with lounge, dining room kitchen and bathroom, all immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The bedrooms have air con and the kitchen is fully equipped. You are given 2 sets of keys and have your own entrance. It is cleaned daily by Nancy who is more than happy to give advice and guidance around Havana, although she doesn't speak english so a phrasebook might be handy!
