When we arrived, our host, Pepe, was waiting outside. We were taken to a ground floor apartment which was comfortable, with good furniture - a kitchen, a dining area, two spacious sound-proof bedrooms with fan and air-conditioning, and a living room area with fan, tv, and big window to the street. We had breakfast every day at a very reasonable cost and we had dinner three days. If you are a big eater, liking lots of fruit, this is the place to be. And the coffee - to do for!
We were welcomed into the family and our every need was arranged. We received excellent avice on many aspects of our visit, including reliable and knowledgeable drivers at reasonable rates for our business purposes. We took the time to go to Old Havana, walk along the Malecon, visit markets and galleries, all within walking distance - though we took a taxi to Old Havana. And there is a beautiful Synagogue just around the corner. We brought back many crafts from Havana, all at very reasonable prices... more
