Not only is Casa 1932 an experience in itself as it is more a museum than a regular B&B. But the host, Luis, is sincerely friendly and helpful and arranges both tours and accommodation on your further travel in Cuba. He has a well organized network of Casas throughout Cuba. Last but not least, great food.

We spent our last two nights of our Cuban adventure in this Casa, and it could not have been a better send off. With its breezy courtyard and amazing decor throughout it must be one of the most stylish places to stay in Havana. The rooms were large and clean, and the host Louis and the rest of the staff... Step inside 1932 and drift back in time to an age of elegance where you can not only enjoy fine antiques but also the manners and courtesy of a time long ago.Luis Miguel is a most gracious host and is the kindest person who really cares about his guests. It was my birthday during our stay and luis insisted on treating... We spent two nights at Casa 1932 and absolutely loved it - I would highly recommend this casa to anyone. We spent two nights in a hotel in Habana Vieja, before getting a taxi over to Centro Habana. We were a bit concerned when we arrived, as Luis (the casa owner) was out when we turned up with our bags,... More

Casa 1932 is a real hidden gem- from the outside you could never imagine what lies behind the crumbling facade of the typical centro street! Inside is a treasure trove of antiques and art deco decorations. A cute little court yard, makes up from what it lacks in natural light with beautiful plants and a pet turtle! We stayed in... More

This is a great Casa though the location in Central can be a little hair-raising for those who aren't used to the shanty streets of Centro. The Casa is full of antique treasures and Luis is the perfect host. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and whilst getting ready for dinner, classical music playing in the background it really... More

A hidden gem behind a typical Havanna facade. A very short walk to the Malceon (beach front). Fabulous entry area, light airy full of plants and art deco treasures a welcome place to sit and chat with a beer. Bedrooms very comfortable with air con and separate fan, lovely big shower room. All very clean and tidy. Tea making facilities.... More

Fantastic Casa! Fantastic host! Fantastic food! We stayed here for just a day because it was completetly full but we would like to come back and stay for longer. The rooms are lovely and large. The decor is stunning. Their living room is like a museum. Totally recommend!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa 1932 is the most recommended and referred accommodation in all of Cuba. The house has been painstakingly restored back to the 1930`s era charm and character, and the decor is like stepping back in time. The house is affordable, comfortable, secure, and well located. The location is only 50 meters (150 feet) from the Havana seawall "Malecón Habanero". From this house it is only a short walk to all of Havana's most popular attractions; Malecon, the Prada, The Capitolio building, China town, shopping, restaurants, and nightclubs.Your host, Luis Miguel, speaks fluent English and loves to share Cuban culture with his guests. He is avid collector of antiques, a history buff, and a lover of architecture, design, and decor. This house stands above its competitors by offering authentic Cuban meals prepared by a personal chef, a full time driver on staff, a concierge, and full time cleaning staff. The property is meticulously maintained and operated, and was one of the first private Casa Particular properties in Havana, now with years of experience and satisfied customers. Many customers return frequently and we are pleased to welcome them like family into our home.Casa 1932 is consistently top ranked by travel professionals and is currently recommended as #1 by most professional travel guides. As a result of its popularity, room availability can be scarce, but it is well worth planning your trip around. As of 2012 we now have a professional reservation system in place, and are continually looking for ways to improve our guest experience. ... more   less
