We stayed for four nights in total with Pepe en Rafaela en we loved it. The house is a collection of Cuban knick-knacks and the birds will wake you up in the morning in a unique fashion. Pepe takes his time in explaining everything for you in slow and perfectly understandable Spanish. The breakfast is huge and the sweet ladies... More

Being listed in the Lonely Planet means that this Casa can get busy and we were concerned that we might not get in. Also some of the reviews on here were a bit mixed. However there were no problems with the Casa. Our taxi from the airport found it a bit of a challenge as Habana Vieja is a bit... More

This colonial house has been refurbished and has a very good light outside which is unusual for La Habana vieja. The location is perfect, few meters away fron Plaza Vieja. The owners are very kind and accomodating. The room in the corner is the niciest. The house is very clean and the breakfast is very rich. There are two bathrooms... More

I was quite looking forward to stay at Casa Particular Pepe. The Good reviews made me think I would encounter a Nice Cuban GuestHouse with Friendly Hosts. I went with an Open Mind and thought that the fact Im fluent in Spanish would help with Having my Basic Travel needs met. All I ask for is a Clean, Safe, Friendly... More

We stayed for four nights, and everything was perfect. Pepe is very welcoming, the rooms are large and the casa is located 1.5 blocks from Plaza Vieja - in the middle of Habana Vieja. You can't go wrong by staying here. The bathrooms are huge and the showers have great pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfasts were delicious and... More

As I read the wonderful and not so wonderful reviews, I cant help but wonder if my grandparents are a little misunderstood in the language barrier that most visitors have. Yes, it is a beautiful home, colonial decors, clean and always busy. My grandparents however, are an old style couple that has been married for over 50 years and although... More

We stayed here for our last night in Cuba as wanted to be a bit more central. Location cannot be beaten and the place is gorgeous- it really is like staying in a museum. Hosts not overly friendly but perfectly pleasant. I guess if we'd just arrived in Cuba I'd have preferred hosts who were a bit more welcoming and... More

We really enjoyed our stay with pepe, a rusty old man of "special" character. The place is beautiful, clean, cozy and perfectly located right next to Plaza Vieja in Havanna Vieja. The service is really good: the rooms are cleaned every day and the breakfast tastes great. Unfortunately, the family does not offer dinner (unlike many other Casas in Cuba).... More

What a great place. Museum standard rooms, impressive even by Havana Vieja standards, and the breakfast is the single largest breakfast I have ever seen (a mound of fruit, bowl of bread, jug of juice, plate of potato and salad, large tortilla + coffee). Really friendly hosts also. This must be one of the best Casa Particulars in Cuba. The... More

Good location very close to Plaza Vieja, in Old Havana. The casa is beautiful, our room was good size very bright and nicely decorated. There was a fridge in the room, no safety box though. Shared bathroom had the best shower in Cuba. Mr Pepe wasn't the nicest person we met but he wasn't rude to us, maybe we were lucky.... More
