This is a lovely hotel, right in the heart of Havana, but on a quiet street. Rooms vary a bit. Much better up stairs. Good breakfast. Generally helpful staff. Feels like real Havana. Poor exchange rate on front desk.

I booked this hotel for two visits - first - to stay overnight before Vinales trip, and second - to stay for 3 nights upon return from Holguin. I was attracted by the beauty of the pictures on the travel sites. It is certainly an interesting design, but I would not say that this hotel was as charming as it... More

We booked this hotel through a travel agent without knowing anything about it but we were so happy we stayed there (2 times 2 nights). The hotel only has 11 rooms, so it has a boutique feel although it's called a hotel. We stayed in room 3 (humongous room with 3 beds and a separate sitting area, but up a... More

The Beltran is in a lovely old building, built around an inner courtyard, and the staff could not have been more gracious - uncomplainingly removing a door within our room to make it possible for my wife (who cannot walk) to get into the bathroom. The breakfasts are nothing special - but they are perfectly adequate by Cuba Hotel (and... More

Staff friendly and helpful; room huge, cool and shady with shutters on both sides and seats on the shared balcony overlooking the courtyard. Tastefully but simply furnished and decorated - was all we wanted for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was good, served at table, consisting of choice of eggs (scrambled and omelet both good), various breads, plenty of fruit,... More

I booked a room for three nights at this hotel roughly three months before my arrival. Upon greeting the receptionist, she informed me that there were problems with the plumbing in my room, and my friend and I were sent to the Hotel Plaza for the first night. This seems to be a common issue on this hotel's page of... More

Beautiful rooms, a real feeling of old Havana. Plumbing somewhat challenging but the look of the hotel and its ambience and closeness to the centre more than made up for it. Cotti, the parrot was an extra delight

This hotel has a lovely location and a save feel. It located in an old building and beautifully refurbished. Upstairs there is a fantastic common room. They were child friendly although the bird food on the floor made breakfast with a toddler challenging. Staff is really friendly and can help you with general information about events and happenings. Would recommend... More

We booked this hotel for one night in January 2014 as a last stop before flying back to the UK. I did this despite having read reviews on Tripadvisor, thinking that there might have been temporary glitches. Unfortunately it went exactly as described. The receptionist told us sadly there were problems with the room and we would be accommodated in... More

Really friendly staff, beautiful room, fantastic location. Amazing architechture. We stayed three nights. On our return to Havana at the end of the holiday we were due to stay another night, but the room was unavailable. It wasn't a problem as they has arranged a room in another gem of a hotel which was just one block away.
