Casa Carlita is a great place that we highly recommend for short or longer term visits to Havana. It is centrally located in the La Rampa neighbourhood near Hotel Nacional and Hotel Havana Libre. The food is excellent - by far the best food we ate during our travels in Cuba. The owner and the staff are very warm and welcoming people who genuinely care about the people who stay at the casa. Each spacious room has a comfortable bed, it\'s own sink and a small safe for valuables. The rooms are bright and breezy with many windows. The bathroom is shared and is cleaned daily (seemed like more than once?). There is hot water in the shower, heated by a small gas heater - we always had hot water. The entire casa is spotless - the owner makes certain the casa is clean for her guests. This casa is a 5-star operation all the way - a fantastic place for international tourists to feel at home and enjoy a visit to Havana. more
