We spent two weeks in Cayo and enjoyed the stay a lot! Cayo is the luxury part of Marina palace. While you can use the restaurants and pools of Marina Palace, their guests do not have an access to Cayo. When we were there only 1/3 of the hotel was occupied. Fantastic room with enormous balcony overlooking sea! Staff great - food acceptable. Never visited other part of resort other than to book a trip, and only discovered Marine Palace when waiting for the taxi taking us to Trinidad! (Not that we would have wanted to visit either of these other options, as they did NOT look good) more
