a great stay in this nice place with a pool in front of the door... so nice in the evening and everything you can walk to the nice restaurants. Jackeline, it was very nice to meet you and we had a good time, there are always people who want to sit at sea but.... do you make every day the... more

We wanted a small, friendly, clean place as a base, and we had not been to Bonaire before. Sonrisa turned out to be very good. We loved having a patio where we could eat, birdwatch, and hang out our wet swim gear on the racks provided. In the mornings, the folks at Sonrisa provided sandwiches, coffee, fruit, and sometimes yogurt... more

Very clean very nice... The "drive through" of the hotels... you are practically by yourself. The reception opens from 7am to 12 and after that there is no one around. Other than that... it is truly charming. more

This place was perfect for what I wanted: quiet, secluded, clean, no temptations of food or alcohol or partying. I came for two weeks of windsurfing. The package deal with Bonaire Windsurf Place, and the discount on the rental car next door was seamlessly taken care of and I was "on my way", on the road exploring the island and... more

Sonrisa is a brand new bed & breakfast type hotel with 10 rooms. The cordial owners Jacqueline and Roger make a serious effort to keep the place super clean and professionally organized. The walled-in pool area and court yard with lots of palm trees and plenty of lawn chairs give you the illusion of being in an oasis. This easily... more

This was our 5th visit to Bonaire and our 2nd stay at Sonrisa (the only Bonaire resort we have stayed at twice). This 2-week visit was as delightful as the first. This time we stayed in a hotel room unit (rather than the 1 bedroom unit last time). Although smaller, it was actually a little quieter because, with no 'flow-through'... more

Our 2nd time to Bonaire for windsurfing. Stayed for 2 weeks. Sonrisa was perfect, 10 minute drive to windsurfing, can access town by foot (walked to town each night for dinner). Sonrisa is nice, clean, great pool and patio area/garden. The owners are very nice, helpful and accommodating. Nice little breakfast in the morning, suited all of our needs. Would... more

After a fantastic two week stay at Sonrisa, I was ready to move in. I highly recommend this to all dive travelers. The dive shop that Sonrisa uses is awesome and they have 3 locations on the island. The hotel is close to the town, so it's easy to dive north or south. And there are dive shops that they... more

Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at Sonrisa Bonaire the last week of March 2008. We could not have been more pleased. Highlights included Jacqueline's willingness/enthusiasm to help us book whatever we needed-- this included reservations for a night snorkel with Woodwind (wonderful!), a last-day sail/snorkel, and reservations at Capriccio, an Italian restaurant that served up one of... more

Jacqueline (owner) is very friendly and very dedicated to making your trip the best. Sonrisa is more a pousada than a hotel in my mind, which is a big plus: you get a much more personalized service by an owner who enjoys her job; you feel a lot of taste and care is put in the design and maintenance of... more
