We stayed here for 8 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment. The price was amazingly affordable, with a nearly-new pickup truck and all scuba air/nitrox included. We opted for the breakfast package as well, and were glad we did. The breakfasts were excellent, freshly made to order, with fresh cut fruit, juices and coffee. We also accepted the offer to... More

We chose to stay at the Golden Reef Inn for 2 reasons: 1) they partner with WannaDive; 2) glorious recommendations on Trip Advisor. The diving through the WannaDive organization was wonderful as always. Staying at the Golden Reef felt like camping..and not in a good way. For those of you who have ever driven old route 66 through New Mexico,... More

First let us say that we wish the guest would have voiced their concerns while they were with us, and we could have seen if there was something we could have done from them! They did visit us on the second day for the stay requesting extra trash bags, which we provided. They are in correct stating the housekeeper did... More

Our trip to the Golden Reef Inn took place July 3rd - 11th. We were 4 adults (all non-divers) and 1 child (6yo.) We chose the GRI after looking at many different lodging choices on Bonaire. This was the second time I have stayed at the GRI, but the first time bringing family. The GRI was again a FANTASTIC place!... More

An absolute great value. A whisker off the ocean but no problem. Great dive sites within 5 - 10 minute drive. Room was beyond our expectations, nice kitchen, eating and sitting areas. Personal "back porch" drying area much better than typical stuffy wooden lockers. Courteous and professional staff and affliation with "Wannadive" another plus. I would make this my only... More

There were 7 of us who went to Bonaire in April 2009, three couples and a single person. My husband and I stayed in the two bedroom with another couple for two weeks and loved it. The rooms were just like described on their website. We enjoyed the fact that we felt like we were part of the island -... More

We booked this trip and decided to try something new. Lets spend as little as possible. What we got in return was a fantastic vacation. The motel style rooms were very adequate to our needs. Of course some things were outdated, mismatched, and basic, but we were expecting worse. We paid for the cooked to order breakfast, which was very... More

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. We were concerned about your report regarding "bed bugs!" FYI, we have our rooms/property treated every 6 months. We had some come in and check your room, but thank goodness there was nothing! No one had reported anything either since your stay! But, we can tell you that during the time you... More

We stayed with Ed, Liz, and the GRI staff for two weeks in June-July of 2009. While we have visited the island (for progressively longer periods) since 2001, we have never found a place that I felt more at home, relaxed, or comfortable. We had preferred to rent private homes for the convenience, but Golden Reef Inn and Ed/Liz have... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the GRI.....and it will be our last. The bathroom was dirty upon our arrival. The plates and silverware in the kitchen were dirty. Not one of the events touted on their website ever took place. One employee said to us, why do the, there are only two of you. The scuba... More

I had to think long and hard, and speak with ALL of my staff so that I could get the facts from our end. I am not here to have a "tete a tete", but to present the "other" side. As you all know there are always 2 sides to every story. First. I saw the guest for the first... More

We have stayed at the GRI four times so far and have plans for a for a fifth. We have stayed in other place (Plaza Resort, Buddies, Divi) but we feel the greatest value (bang for the buck) is at the GRI. Liz, Ed, and Jibi are great and make one feel like family. Ed and Liz even took us... More

This is a really, really cheap place to stay. So if you're going to come back to your room only to sleep at night, this is the perfect place. The rooms are decent and clean. AC/TV worked well. The shower has nice hot water, particularly if you don't turn it up all the way. Jibi, the chef, is absolutley wonderful.... More
