We traveled as a family of six starting off as inexperienced divers. This was our first scuba diving trip. When we arrived, check-in was a little slow, but remember everything runs on 'Island Time'! We stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bath condo. The conditions were very nice and each room had a bathroom connected to it. The bathrooms were... More

This resort caters to divers, and the set up is great. The drive trough tank pick up and drop off was nice. The instructors and dive masters were all knowledgeable and enthusiastic. For this the resort deserves an excellent rating. But there were several detracting factors. If you have to rent any equipment, the rental prices are steep. Bonaire is... More

Beautiful reef right at your doorstep. With very easy access to the water. Boats, activities, a seaside bar/restaurant, and an underwater camera rental place are some of what the place offers. Also a large group of young and in my experience helpful staff for your diving needs.

The good thing: the diving. Facilities, free nitrox, operation and staff, friendly and helpful; still the best! Now the rest: We checked in at Tuesday, 3PM, and they tried to give us a standard room instead one bedroom unit that we bought. We had to wait for one hour until they "found" one bedroom for us… Well, we had one... More

We were a large group of 6 who had never been on Bonaire for any reason and 2 of us were new divers. We went into a couple different dive shops, all of them friendly and sincerely willing to help but Buddy Dives had multiple locations and really went out of their way to accomadate our different needs. The tank... More

Just Right! Checked in on Friday night, breezed to our room, everything was smooth. We saw long lines on Saturday evening which confirms a previous post, our experience was 5 stars. Needed a pan late one evening they found two, dropped them off and called to confirmed we received it. There was more to it than this but the vibe... More

Rooms were great, front desk staff very helpful. Trucks are in bad shape and need to be replaced, one fell apart on me after a few days but was easily replaced, with another POS rust bucket. The restaurant for dinner Ingridients, is a bad choice, for a dedicated dive resort, IMHO, and we wouldn't go back there. The BBQ at... More

First the good... The dock and ladders were nice and well kept. The free nitrox was good. We enjoyed buddy's reef for diving. The rooms were spacious. We had a 2 bedroom with an ocean view. The NOT good.... Checking in was an extremely slow process. And, there was not enough Help behind the desk. When we got to our... More

Food in restaurants are a little on expensive side. Food quality adequate but nothing to write home about. We only ate in pool restaurant once (chicken ok) and at Ingredients Restaurant once (food better prepared). Some friends complained wait staff was slow. Of course, we are on "Island Time". We went to Vander Tweel Grocery (nice, large, clean) and got... More

We were there for a week as part of a Dive Store trip in February and I don't quite know how to rate Buddy's. First, the good - The Dive Operation. The dive shop is run very well. Helpful and friendly staff. Love the drive through air/nitrox facility to pick up your tanks. The average - The restaurant food. The... More
