My wife and I spent a week at the Sand Dollar with my brother and sister-in-law. We opted for a 3 bedroom so both couples could have ocean-view rooms. Our unit was very spacious and nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Apparently this is the low season because it's hot, but with the breeze the weather was perfect. It sprinkled... more

Sand Dollar Resort sits on the water and next door to a Padi Dive Shop with which it is affiliated. Accomadations are comfortable and reasonably priced and you can walk out of your condo and jump in the water at Bari Reef, the #l dive site in the Carribean for biodiversity. Food in the area is good and the exchange... more

Take this review with a grain of salt because each unit is individually owned and therefore your experience may be different. We rented a studio in Bldg F. We prefer a one bedroom, but booked last minute and a studio was the best we could do. So, I generally prefer a bit more space, but for a studio it was... more

This is a very convenient choice for Bonaire divers. Everything you need is right there - tanks, storage room, dive shop, good restaurant (only serves lunch and dinner), etc. All of the rooms come with a kitchen, which is convenient since you might not want to eat all of your meals out. I recommend opting out of the breakfast package.... more

The location on Bari Reef is very good, but the property is in shabby condition and requires a top-to-bottom renovation. Units are mildewed and dated. We learned that one of the condos was recently burglarized. There are much nicer, and safer, properties on Bonaire. more

What a great location. The condo was adequate with reasonable prices. The dive shop was very convienent. You can leave your gear with a great pier for the Bari Reef . The dive shop people were not real friendly but overall we had a good experience. more

The good news is that Bari reef has great fish diversity. The bad news is that this is a crime ridden run down place. We arrived early in the morning, but no one was in the office to give us room keys. We waited for several hours in fornt of the room, while we got eaten alive by mosquitos. We... more

This was our second trip to Bonaire, but first travelling with our 7-year-old son. We chose Sand Dollar/Bonaire Dive and Adventure because of the kid's program and the ability to have a 2BR condo. This property fit our needs nicely. We are three-star hotel kind of people, and so were pleased. We were there the week before Christmas 2008, and... more

Spent a week in Bonaire (Dec 08) and stayed at the Sand Dollar Condo Resort. First impressions was that this was a little run down, but as I got settled in, it is actually a nice resort. Bari Reef is just off the pier and had some great easy diving. The local dive shop Bonaire Dive & Adventure is next... more
