Sand Dollar is a GREAT place for staying on Bonaire. We stayed in a first floor 1-bedroom apartment and loved walking out of the screened in patio to watch the sunset every night. It was quiet but centrally located to everything. The best part was having Bari reef as your house reef - only steps before you're under water diving... More

Great place. If you want to have lots of people around you and feel like you in a cruise-ship type party atmosphere, this is NOT your place. Sand Dollar is just a collection of condos that all overlook the ocean and give you peace and quiet and your own kitchen so you can eat on your schedule, not the resort's... More

it was a nice little apartment, on the ground floor, and very peaceful. aircon in each room, full kitchen, loved having my own bathroom/shower. TV with a channel on Bonaire - that was interesting. The diving out back was good - wish we had discovered it sooner! snorkeling showed eels, box fish, etc. (not like diving) but it was interesting.... More

Great place for diving. The condo offers a kitchen equipped well for cooking and provides a nice place to stay. It's not fancy but that's not why I go to Bonaire...I go to dive and enjoy nature so I don't need a fancy place to stay.

We booked our 3 bedroom condo via VRBO and dealt with the owner. We stayed in F21. It was just updated and it was gorgeous. It is huge and has everything you will need. The location in the complex is the closest to the water and at the back so there was no traffic or noise. It is perfect for... More

First, the view of the ocean from every condo on the property can't be beat. The property itself is nice with lots of sitting areas for looking out over the ocean. The house reef is wonderful and super easy access for snorkeling or diving. However, the condo we stayed in (B14) was in major need of a facelift. The condo... More

We stayed in F1 from 6/6/14-6/25/14. The welcome upon our arrival wasn't very warm, in fact, it was a tad non existent. We got there after 830pm and the office had already been closed with uncertain instructions or signs as to what to do to get our room key. But fortunately there is a security guard on the premises and... More

It sort of strange because you are basically staying at someones house but quickly it becomes yours. Staff is super friendly. Dive shop and reef right there so it doesn't get much better than that. Close to town but not too close. my only complaint was that the shower didn't drain well but that was just in ours. I'd stay... More

Staying at the Sand Dollar Condominium Resort is more like staying at a friend's house than checking into a hotel. We stayed in a one-bedroom, corner-apartment, condo (B4) that was large, clean, and beautifully decorated. There are separate air conditioners for the livingroom/kitchen area and the bedroom, so we were always comfortable. The couple who owns the condo left a... More

Compared to its neighboring properties, this "resort" falls short. Capt Dons and Buddys appear much nicer. Nicer grounds, much more well maintained, real restaurants on premises, and housekeeping more than twice a week. I do not understand how Sand Dollar justifies its cost when compared to neighboring properties. On the positive side, it is on Bari Reef and several of... More
