The staff set me up with phone service for an hour as my resort's service was down. I walked in off the street and they were wonderful, professional and courteous. I would consider staying here in the future based on this experience.

I did not actually stay here. I was using their dock for diving their house reef. I wanted to use their water to rinse my mask after applying antifog. I was actually yelled by one senior staff there : 'Just in and out, don't use the water here, because water costs money too! ' I can totally understand water costs... More

Spent two weeks at Captain Don's on Bonaire. We put together a group of twenty divers for the trip. Captain Don's was over the top accommodating. The resort was clean. Our rooms were excellent. The staff was fantastic. Already putting together a return for December 2015!

Going downhill, living on its reputation. Capt Don died last year and a lot is in disrepair, employees ( in general) seem worn out and disengaged. Units are sparsely furnished for a kitchenette. Not even a can opener or working coffee pot. Clogged shower drain. Wi fi was not working first 4 days. Dive gear was unavailable in needed sizes... More

We really enjoy staying at Captain Don's Habitat when we are in Bonaire. The rooms are comfortable, clean, roomy, and many rooms have been, or are being updated. The office staff is extremely helpful, too. We have stayed in the cottages as well as the deluxe ocean front rooms and like both, although the deluxe ocean front rooms are our... More

We first came to Capt Don's in 1994 and loved it. We had come back every couple years or so between dives to other locations in the Caribbean and had decided this was the best spot. On a recent trip (2007) we concluded that the place had passed it prime and it was time to move on. On a whim,... More

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic week at Captain Dons..The ocean View room we has was big, clean and had a wonderful view..The diving is about a convenient as it gets..We had lockers on the dock level. A very easy walk to the dive boats and the shore diving dock. The dive operation was wonderful. We enjoyed... More

Captain Don's is the perfect place to stay for serious divers who enjoy a top-notch dive operation and friendly staff. Although it does not have many resort ammenities, Habitat was definitely a dive resort which caters to serious divers. I stayed their on my first trip to Bonaire, and found that everyone else who was diving at the resort had... More

We just spent a lovely 2 weeks scuba-diving in Bonaire. We stayed at Captain Don’s Habitat, as we often do. Our first trip was in 1998 and little has really changed on the island or at the resort. We’ve been in an “Ocean View” room by the pool. It has not been updated in the time we’ve been coming here.... More

I came here for a week with my sister - who is a certified diver. I am not. This is a place for divers as they are set up for all kinds of dives and allow a lot of freedom for divers to go where they want. They have all the equipment and novice divers can learn a lot. There... More
