Please read this entire review before drawing any conclusions--it is truly a mixed bag. The "average" rating is based on a combination of my dive experience (both February and August, 2014), and the accommodations (August, 2014). If I were rating the dive experience only, it would be a 5 star "excellent" rating without question. If I were rating the accommodations/service... More

I've been to Captain Don's 3 times already. Its really geared toward divers. I have never had a bad experience with the staff and always find them very helpful. I found it strange to read reviews with people who had much different experiences. The rooms are not the best when it comes to how in shape they are, yes some... More

Just got back from Captain Don's. It was a great experience. The room was clean with a very nice view. The staff was nice , all the dive masters were very good, and the dive shop was set up for easy diving. Unite Airlines lost my luggage with my dive gear, the dive shop let me use all their gear... This was my first time at Capt. Dons and Bonaire. My new husbands second time, he was here about 20 years ago. Our room was beautiful. The only complaint I have is that we made coffee every morning and when I requested more I was refused! House keeping was fine but when I went to look through the phone book... More

Had a great time diving in Bonaire and staying at Captain Don's Habitat. The staff was very friendly and the dive shop and access to air and nitrox was great. They had a restaurant onsite and the food was above average. Also every room came with a truck as part of the package so you could go and do as... More

Full disclosure: we've been coming here since 1993, and have owned a cottage managed by Habitat since 1998. Since there are many good resorts on the island, why did we settle at Habitat? The location is excellent, and the dive operation just gets better. You may know that Captain Don Stewart died in late May, so one only "meets" the... More

Great place to run your dive adventures from. All the basic necessities that you need. Nothing fancy just a good place to stay. The boat dives are great and scheduled for your group. Roger is a class act and is there to help with any questions. Even told us how to deal with the local hospital for a small emergency.

We have stayed at Captain Dons for the last three years. We stay in one of the ocean front Jr. suites which are very nice with incredible views. All of the staff at Capt. Dons are very freindly and helpfull. The dive operation is outstanding. The dive boat crews have fun with the guests and each other which makes me... More

To begin, I would be willing to give Capt Don's 5 stars when they are finished upgrading the resort. They are currently making improvements to the resort and rooms. I stayed in a refreshed room and overall, it was very nice. Overall, I like the resort and the access for diving is excellent. I stayed in a pool front unit,... More

I have been to Bonaire twice and both times we have stayed at Captain Don's Habitat. overall clean resort, good staff and good food. They have continued to upgrade the property over the years! Breakfast is included in packages and is good. Excellent dives from the property and always iguanas to keep you company as you dine; looking out over... More
