My husband and I took an anniversary trip to Barbados and stayed at the Accra. It was a great experience. Our room was luxurious and the view to die for. It is a beachfront property with a huge pool facing the ocean. The room was huge, the bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi tub. The air conditioner was in great... more

I read mixed reviews prior to our trip; and I cannot find one bad thing to say about this place. We had an Ocean-view room that overlooked the pools, and sitting on our balcony to this beautiful landscape made the trip in itself. The hotel is beautiful; Big, Very open; Lovely Gardening that surrounds the pool area - Palm trees... more

We stayed at the accra prior to our weeks cruise around the carribbean. We had a wonderful time on the lovely beach every day(where we got married).Staff were pleasant enough(apart from the bar guys who closed at 10 each night!!). The room was basic but very clean and the ladies left us a lovely suprise on the bed evry night..The breakfasts... more

We got a really good deal through British Airways staying at Accra for 2 weeks and for what it was worth – it ended up exceeding most expectations. The hotel staff were very friendly and hotel grounds were well maintained as well as the beach which was just absolutely beautiful. We had an island view room which overlooked the busy... more

After reading some of the reviews we were a bit concerned about what to expect; however this place was totally fantastic and we really couldnt understand why it had been getting bad reviews. In total there were 18 of us ranging from the age of 5 to 60 and we didnt have any problems at all whilst in resort. The... more

The sad part about this relatively expensive place is that could have been cleaner, nicer and manned by more efficient and caring front desk personnel. There is a rather boring restaurant on the property which dispenses quite unattractive and insipid food at relatively premium costs. I'd advise future guests to ask to check the rooms - esp the ones with... more

My husband and I recently concluded our 6th stay at this great hotel. Yes, we've been coming to Accra since 2003 and plan to come back again! Over the years we have found this hotel responsive to their clientele and their needs. They have just recently added a spa, a beachside shower to wash away the beach sands, the Cocoa... more

Rooms are on the standard of a Super8 in the US. One side of the hotel's rooms overlook an abandoned hotel in ruins about 20 feet away. Pool was closed due to the water being unsafe to swim in. Breakfast was unremarkable. Staff was friendly and the place clean. Area around the hotel is crowded, with very some very narrow... more

We were quite nervous before booking this trip as Sun, Sea & Sand holidays are not our usual thing, so we spent ages trying to find the right hotel. We were both very pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Accra Beach. We were lucky as the hotel was very quiet so plenty of room in the pool, at the... more
