This government owned hotel is overstaffed with sullen and rude staff who have the most dreadful attitude problem - reception being particularly bad tempered. After 7 days we were still having to ask 4 times for coffee and tea at breakfast. Basically each staff member hopes someone else will do it. No front of house, no checking housekeeper, no restaurant... more

Reception staff were friendly and helpful but that's where customer care ended. Some staff were rude. Were lucky enough to get a beach side view. Bed was very comfortable. Unable to access the sea due to the very rocky beach so had to use the Hilton's beach. Ate out every evening as the hotel prices were very expensive as was... more

For the experienced traveler..this hotel is perfect! There is charm and a certain peacefulness which makes you want to book another night and then another. The gym has the right amount of equipment for workouts. The beach is really spectacular...there is a turtle preserve...but you can swim 3 minutes away. The trees offer shade with the invitation to relax and... more

We arrived to stay a week prior to Ocean Village cruise. Whilst the hotel was nice, clean & the rooms were excellent, we had a 2 year old & a 4 year old with us & this hotel is defo not for kids. We had a fantastic 1st floor balcony with open steps down to a pool which was 1... more

We recently returned from our first trip to Barbados. What a fantastic island! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Savannah but this hotel certainly would not appeal to everyone. It is not suited for those with children or those looking for action/nightlife. The pool area is small and there were very few kids at the hotel. The hotel is... more

We arrived at the Savannah the day of the Presidential inauguration, after an extended 90 min wait for our bags at the airport :( The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The bellboy took our bags and showed us to our room - a worrying trip that took us through back corridors and staff areas, but the room was delightful... more

We have just returned from a very relaxing stay at The Savannah, Barbados. The original part of the hotel was built in the 18th century and is full of charm and character. The later part is more modern but still in keeping with the general feel of the hotel. The pool area is small, so probably not ideal for families.... more

Stayed here for a week prior to Ocean Village cruise. What was good? Room was lovely, best hotel bed we've ever slept in; nearly needed a ladder to climb into! - really comfy. Balcony with modern cane furniture was an ideal spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. We enjoyed the view from the restaurant balcony whilst enjoying breakfast but we... more
